ID Checks .. Any Help would be very nice...

I've never gone on a cruise before, and the one that I'm going on has a casino on board. (Royal Carribean Grandeur of the Seas) and I was wondering if they were real strict about checking id's and your age in the casino? Do they check a lot of people and any info would be real nice here. you know, i've been wondering about the casinos too.

obviously, i'm not going there to gamble or anything, but with the whole age to be in there? well, it's kinda confusing. i know about six years ago when my brother was about 16, he searched through the casinos to find quarters in slots every morning (he made about $50 by the end of the week) but since that's in the morning/day, is there no age requirement?? because otherwise he'd be kicked out... hmm

I just got off of Voyager of the seas a few weeks ago - remember that on cruises, 18 year olds are given much more freedom! they can drink and go in the casino. One of the guys i met was 18 and liked going into the casino, and a bunch of us (some being 16) would go with him and watch him play the slots, but not play ourselves!! no one came over to us, but some crew member was watching us and gave us a few looks! be careful, you can easily hide in the casino, try to blend in! As for discos, at "the vault" on voyager, they do check IDs, however its really easy to use the ID of a sibling and also a friend! (believe it or not a friend of mine got in with another friends ID and they looked nothing alike!!)

here is what i met when i was on my cruise (carnival) and my friend who was on royal carib. told me:
1. STAY AWAY from the tables. nothing good can ome from beign near them. just stay near the edge of the casino away from the bar.
2. dont make a comotion.
3. Dont act like you shouldnt be there. just walk up sit down and chat it up with a fried while playing.
4. dont go with a big group (this applies to anything against the rules (exsept r rated comedy shows where they dont care unless u anouce to the cruise director that you are tehre (haha my group made that mistake)

i know getting into the casino is very easy, but you dont want to attract attention to yourself, no tables, and if you start winning people are going to look at you and ask for an id...casinos at ports would be much easier to get into and play at

In San Juan there was a hotel with a casino i dont rember the name exactly but its right there when you get on off the ship. We didnt go in but my friends sister who was 16 got in with no problem.

Thanks guys. Yea me and my friend usually walk in with a drink in our hands and they dont check our ids here where we live (we're 16). But on the ship are they more strict which I would think they would be? I mean I would think that the guys would be going up to everyone whos young asking for ids on a cruise. Thanks guys.
