FYI.....on RCCL it is 18 for beer and wine, carnival is 21......however on isalnds you can easily get drinks....like for example cozumel....they dont card.
nope, the worst they do if they catch you sneaking in your own from a port is make you check it in and get it back the last night. and i actually agree w/ adam cuz yeah theyve never gotten me in trouble for alcohol, whether drinking it or after being drunk.
well i just got off of the rccl navigator and its not enforced at all. the bartenders will sell you drinks as long as you tip them, we gave the bartender 50 bucks and he hooked us up all night. and if you bring your own on its cool too
yeah just put vodka or bacardi in waterbottles and bring them on the ship. my cousin and i did this and when we ran out we just got more on the islands put the alcohol in waterbottles and brought them on in a bag. they dont say anything or at least they didnt to us.
nonono see you dont put anything on your card because you give the bartenders cash and they get to pocket the cash so they make lots of money. it's kind of like buying drinks under the table in a way
I don't believe it. No bartender will risk his job for a couple bucks to serve a minor. If caught he would immediately be fired and place ashore. Another urban myth.
Jim
Jim...i know you hear lots of storires everyday and most of them are made up because tenns want to seem cool but I SWEAR this guy risked his job everynight for us! if you dont want to believe me thats fine but i was there and i know what im talking about
and also....i dont call 450$ for 7 nights A FEW bucks....he said he had to split that money with his partner though. and thats another thing, the other bartenders/cleaning people were watching him serve minors so obviously they keep it hush hush
ok i need some help...besides cozumel and any where in mexico....what isalnds dont card you.....meanin a 17 year old kid could go into a bar and get drinks thanks
whats the point in underage drinking, cruises are so fun u dont need alcohol to have fun, ur with the coolest people and hottest guys and girls ever... just have fun without alcohol for a change
the fun is that....my self (17) can walk into a bar a get drinks at islands.....you cruises are fun the way...but on my last cruise i hooked up with a girl for the rest of the week becuase i got drunk ....long story...so in conclussion it makes it more fun
I just got back from the navigator and they definetely did NOT inforce it...there were kids from 14 and up getting drunk...i dont know how they did it...but theyre stupid...juss find someone good to hang out with! you'll regret it later
just came back from cruising on RCL's Mariner of the Seas. RCL lets 18+ buy beer or wine and 21+ anything. but speaking as a college student who knows a thing or two about underaged drinking, if you have $$ to spare, fine. i personnally did not find wasting my money on $3.75 bottle of corona worth it, but that's my own opinion. i prefer liqour anyways. now if only i was old enough to buy a bottle of vodka for $8... now that's a deal!! if you find it necessary to drink, i suggest the islands... cheaper and they'll give it to anyone. my 16 yr old bro got beer from the tour we took at Cozumel.
** pp. on RCL your parents need to sign a consent form if you are 18+ and everything is charged to your seacard, be it linked to your parent's or your own credit card.
