Hi, eveyrone who sailed Carnival and Royal Caribbean. Another question, if you please: according to the informaltion at Carnival and at Royal Caribbean, the "teen" programs start at age 12. Are the 12's allowed in the disco?
The reason I ask is thatI just returned from Princess CARIBBEAN PRINCESS ship and it isa beautiful ship but I am 12 and got stuck in the 10-12 year old group,. and let me tell you, the only kids in that group were all 10...it was so babyish, they were playing Britney Spears music (ugh) and making friendship bracelets. There were 18 girls on the who were 12 (some were even going into 7th grade!) and none of them wantee to hang out in the Kid's Club 'cuz some of those kids werein the 4th grade.
Anyway, my mom and dad said we can go another cruise soon and I am looking for a cruise line that will allow me to do things that are a bit more fun!
thanks, brittany for all the info...i am in 7th grade and very mature for my age (both emotionally and physically--i am 5'3") and my friend's little sister (who is going into 3rd grrde) listens to that Britney Spears/Kidz Bop stuff, makes friendship bracelets...i listen to classical music (mainly opera) and i took a high school AP class this summer (i am in all-gifted school in Sarasota, Dan our host knows which school) so it is kind of hard for me to relate to 10 year-olds who are still into reading Capt Underpants books when i just finished the AP course in Freshman College Lit.
that is great news about both RCL and Carnival--thanks!
yea rccl seems 2 have ppl talkin nuting but good things bout it n the teen thingys ... ive been on 7 carnival cruises n lets put it this way i spent them pretty much either in the cabin or with my family or the arcade or u could always usually have found me online becuz they really have nothing 4 teens or 12 year olds 2 do it was kinda boring
carnivals teen programs do suck...but i disagree with majorcutie saying that it was boring. I mean it would be if u didnt meet any one...and being on 7 cruises if i was in ur situation and i was bored all the time and didnt meet ne one i wouldnt want to go again. But ive been on 2 and both times ive met a really close group of ppl...so if ur going for the teen programs i wouldnt go carnival but if ur not looking for that i would go for carnival
