Nothing wrong with the schools allowing students to get involved and learn about the electorial process but let's not make remarks about who won and if you are happy about it or not. Frankly teachers should not push their personal opinions on their students but show them ALL the information and allow them to make up their own minds and should remain strictly bi-partisan. Unfortunately this is rarely the case.

Re: mock election?

My teachers actually do a good job of not pushing their views on students. We had a mock election today... you couldn't walk by the polling place without getting harassed to vote. Go Kerry!

I go to a private school, and while the teachers will tell you up front about who they're supporting, they will back it up and supply you with facts.

Re: mock election?

The teachers should never tell you who 'they' are supporting. They should provide all the 'facts' and none of the hype. Some teachers here in NE Florida were showing F911 and depicting it as a true documentary. Rather obvious who they were supporting. If you provide facts you need to provide ALL the facts and not just those that support their side or partial truths.

actually jim teachers, at my school atleast, do a very good job of not forcing their opinion onto their students and let us take their own stand on the issues
