boxers are always a classic gift for a dude...watches also. but the best is a good picture frame with a girlfriend's picture in it.

uhm, i'm not getting anything. because my parents think that if i choose not to follow my religion, that i shouldn't get presents at holiday time. it sucks.

WOW , do you mean that you choose not to follow your parents religion? So do they not get presents for not following your religion?

why should i get presents for a holiday that i don't believe in/ never happened?

i totally understand where they're coming from. it just sucks, cause i love getting presents

they could give me like, a "winter break present" or a "new years present".. but they choose not to, and I respect that. my grandparents and one of my aunts usually give me some money though because they feel bad for me sitting there and watching all my cousins and my brother open their presents. so i get like 75 bucks out of it, not to bad if you ask me.

I guess your right, I thought that you meant you weren't getting gifts because you didn't agree with your parents religion not that you choose not to agree with the religion based your on beliefs..understand me, everything cool here, I think its fine to take a stand for what you believe. Just as long as you aren't being punished for not believing what they said to believe.

haha but christmas totally isn't about getting presents, there is nothing in christianity that even comes close to insinuating that you have to recieve presents at christmas. The religion where gift giving comes from is north americanity and since most of us are ardent followers of this religion, as are your parents, i do not see any reason why you should not recieve presents. Long story short, Gift giving has nothing to do with christianity it's just something that people made up to make more money.

With the nature of this site, I'm surprised someone hasn't suggested a cruise yet. I guess that'll be my suggestion then.

Miss Swiss, Adam....I think that you just like to sound off about your wealth and what you have or can have. I really think that there is more maturity and elegance in being able to be descret about what you have been blessed with rather than come accrross as bragging or spoiled. Its more how you present yoursef then how we care about what you have. But maybe thats only how you know to speak
