it's harder than skiing. but .. not horribly difficult. it depends on how coordinated you are and how willing you are to take risks.

i was just up in NC like a week ago snowboarding, at beech mountain... where will you be? This year was my 2nd yr snowboarding, last winter was my first, and it is definetly hard, but definetly worth it. I love it, good luck! ~Molly

I board and ski and i thought skiing was harder to learn. however, like your first day you will fall a lot a take some good spills, but after that its mad fun and you should pick up on it quick. It isn't hard but it isnt easy.

well I've been skiing/snowboarding for about 10 years and I'd have to say that skiing was easier for me, but snowboarding really isnt that hard and sometimes is easier for people, it all just depends on you, and hey if u dont like boarding u can always trade in ur board and try out skiing for the rest of the day.

I dont snowboard cause i'm just better at skiing and anyway you can do just as much skiing in terrain parks as you can on a snowboard. And I think snowboarding is much harder than skiing for beginners because it is so restrictive and hard to turn but they are equally as difficult to master.

Im going skiing in Snowshoe, West Virginia the weekend of Feb. 19.

i'M oUT,
Sean

I both ski and snowboard, ive found snowboarding alot easier, i picked it up in a day. I prefer skiing to it alot, and im going to have to disagree with sean, theres actually alot more skis can do in the terrian park as long as your a freestyle skier. But as long as you have balance snowboarding should be easy

Is snowboarding typically faster, or about the same, as skiing?

they have snow in NC??? wow anyways ive done both and i think that skiing is harder because there's more to constantly perfect. I do like the fact that you arent on your butt all the time w/skis too.

i loooove snowboarding. its kinda hard the first time...turning/steering, and STOPPING...my first time i went, i had to purposely wipe out to stop when i got to the bottom of the mountain!!! people were always like, "are you ok?" <<<so embarrasing.

its all worth it though...its a good winter sport and a good way to get outside and do something when its colddd out. and plus, cute boys go snowboarding. cant go wrong there. hehe
