Just hang around other teens...you'll meet people. Definitely go to the meet & greet thing the first night. I'm shy too and I never fail to meet the group of people I want to hang out with by the 2nd or 3rd day at the latest. Keep in mind that most others don't know anyone either so you're all in the same boat (literally and figuratively....haha).
