I've been to San Francisco before and it's really neat and fun. I don't remember much about it cuz I was little, but I remember the scenery and the Golden Gate Bridge. Chinatown was fun too. Ever hear of Lombard St? It's a famous crooked street. FUN!
But... if y'all are looking for a warm area, California, Hawaii, or Florida. If you're looking for a cooler spot, NYC or Alaska. Alaska's great up here. The snow's finally melting somewhat and the summers are BEAUTIFUL!!! Watch out for moose in the road though. That is a BIG problem up here. Especially when they go into your backyard. Cool though.
Hope I helped and have fun!
of course i am biased. but i'm going to say that you should come to Chicago. in the summertime the city is just sooooo beautiful and you can go to the beaches and navy pier.. etc. the lake is a really big attraction when it's nice out.
and the night life is great--> shows, shopping, fabulous dining, sports games, etc..
it has everything that New York and Los Angeles has to offer.. without the smog or the pollution and the terrible accents..
i'd suggest new york if you're looking for a city type of vacation. miami is cool too because you have a city (lots of shopping) but you also have really nice beaches.
i'm going to england(london) for 6 weeks during july and august and during that time im going to spain for a week. i know england doesn't get as hot as america usually so i was wondering what you would suggest to pack clothing wise since im going to spain too which is really hot. i don't want to overpack. any help would be appreciated. thanks =)
during summer time, england can be really hot, but not as hot as america. i don't live in london so the weather might me different, but in july and august it should be fairly warm, it depends. i would trousers and jackets etc in case tis cold, but also t-shirts and shorts etc. That way you'll have clothes if its hot in london and also ones u can where in spain.
hope i helped
jerseyyy! woo! yea, it's where i'm from.. and we dont have terrible accents the shores are nice (well, i guess they kind of are) and u can walk on the boardwalk and go to places that are like on monopoly lol.. and sandy hook to see the lighthouse! haha.. jk.. u can see the statue of liberty here (which is SO in nj, not ny), but in nyc, u can walk around time square, visit soho and some museums, go to chinatown and get some knock-off bags.. then maybe u can get to like DC and visit the capitol and all that.. i'd also say orlando/port canaveral.. go visit disney world (my fave vacation spot) and maybe u could see a shuttle lift-off.. they also have nice florida beaches.. if ur gonna go to CA, i'd say go towards san diego.. they have nice beaches, hollywood, disneyland.. all that.. uhhh i cant think of anything else
you could always come to atlanta...see the site of the '96 olympics... the coca-cola factory.. the braves... then you could from here scoot up to the best college town ever (athens home of the bulldogs) and see whare REM and wide spred panic got their starts.... yep georgia is a pretty awesome state
I'm looking into a trip to Southern California for Spring Break. It sounds like a lot of fun from what I've read. Washington D.C would be fun, too.
In my slightly biased opinion... you could come to Buffalo. There's a lot to do here, and we have Niagara Falls. You could go see beaches, and spend a few days in the Falls, plus see the home of the Buffalo Wing and a bunch of other things. Hope this helped!

OK, California and NYC are probably the most famous, talked about places in America. I've been to both places numerous times, and I've come to the conclusion that while NYC is fun, it is highly overrated. CA, on the other hand, is not. San Diego, CA is really beautiful, fun, and has a great atmosphere. San Fran is cool, but San Diego is better. Wherever you go in CA, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
NYC is not over-rated, you just have to know where to go and when. I lived there for a year and whenever I go back it is so much fun. I love the city!!! San Diego is boring after a while. L.A. is an amazing place. Make sure you have a lot of time for Hollywood!!!!!
