On my cruise from October 2004, we were on the Explorer of the seas. One of the people my group was with got cut. It wasn't gushing blood, but it was enough for a band-aid. So we all paniked and rushed him down to the nurse's office on the first floor. It was still open, but there was no nurse. We waited a few minutes thinking maybe they went to go take a break for something. So after about 5 minutes we left, trying to find a band-aid or something. I cant handle blood very good, so i went and told my group I'd meet up with them in the library when everything was done. So, I dont know what happened after that.
But my question is... where was the nurse? what if he had gotten hurt worse?

if it was bad enough the dr then would go and help them. he proberly is "on call" which means he is not in the office but if there was a need for him, he would come and take care of the person. dr office on cruies are open a few hrs there and few hrs here. but he is always on duty, just not in his office.
another example. i am an emt for volly squad. we dont stay at the squad house, but we have papgers and beepers that tell us when we have a call and then we go help the person.
