Hey, we are looking at a cruise out of Rome, Italy for my graduation trip. It seems pretty neat cuz it's going to places like Venice, Barcelona, Cannes, etc. Has anybody ever been on a European cruise? If so, I need info. I'm from Alabama, so it'll probably be all pretty new to me.
Hey! Yes, I just came back a couple weeks ago from the Carnival Liberty..it left out of Rome and went to Canne, Venice, Barcelona, Dubrovnik, and a lot of other places! Is that the ship you're considering?? It was my first time to Europe too, and it was amazing! =) I loved it..if you have any specific quesitons just ask, or you can email me...firstname.lastname@example.org..
first off.. ERIK AINGE ROCKS MY SOCKS!!!! GO VOLS!!!
secondly.. i've been all over italy and the best things to do are the totally touristy things- like take a gondola ride in venice.. go to all the places in rome that you've read about: i.e. the vatican, sistine chapel, trivoli fountain
hey. well i literally just got back from a cruise that started in rome. im from england too so it is pretty convenient for me. but this cruise was really convenient. organising transfers and everything to and from the airport. it was Princess cruises which i gotta say was not as good as Celebrity but still good.
we went to rome, florence, naples, santorini, athens, mykanos, corfu, santorini and venice. we were supposed to go to kusadasi in turkey but some problems with bombing and stuff- dont really know what but we changed to antoher greek island. it was pretty fun but i do wish that we had days where we stayed overnight at ports.
i recommend the baltic cruise actually, places in northern europe. its soo interesting and really fun because everywhere is different and you stay overnight in places like copenhagen where its really fun to go out at night.
anyway, thats just my opinion. any cruise is fun really x
im from london and i went on the grand princess around the greek islands and italy. we were supposed to go to turkey as well but because of some bombings or something like that they changed it last minute to another greek island.
I did really like princess cruises, there seemed to be a lot of teens. and got on with the youth security really well! haha. they were telling us to go to sleep the first few nights but then just ended up sitting and chatting with us after that. i was told there were 700 people under the age of 21 when i was there. but i gotta say i prefer celebrity cruises coz the food wasnt that great on princess and the teens were older on celebrity (coz im 18) and most of the people i met on celebrity were 18-24, here it was around 16-17 average age.
