the teen clubs can be pretty varied. sometimes they can be great, and sometimes they can be pretty lame. but a LOT of it depends on how much participation they get with it. if theres lots of participation... then they can be LOTS of fun!

Let me refrase that. Guests 18-20 may consume beer or wine if a parent or legal guardian signs a waiver granting permission. The age restrictions apply when in port to the age limit for that ports local age.

RCCL and Celebrity are the only two major cruise lines that allow selling/drinking of beer and wine to guests 18-21, guests 21+ can get liquor.

I wouldent bother tring to sneak stuff on, some people tried this on my last cruise on a few occassions, each time failed. They were very strict, and literally pat you down to check, espcially if you are under 21. After if you are caught (even if you are just chilling with it) security places a red flag on your sail and sign card, so when you check back in from a port, they automaticaly check you again.

Just dont do it, its too risky.

How old are you? Is it really that big of a deal?

You can go ahead and try, but they will check, 3 of my friends tried it on my last cruise and failed... all three times.

It would suck to see how pissed the parentals would be if you got caught too.

see, i have to disagree. on my last cruise, when we where in st thomas, we bought two handels and stuck them in one big water bottle and two smaller ones. and my friend put one in his cargo pants, one of the smaller ones. and the other kid just walked on with the big one and a girl stuck the small one in her purse. and they both got on. the only scary part was that the kid with the big one, his lighter that he had just bought, went off, and he got a pat down, and they STILL didnt take the stuff!
the next day kids brought stuff on in st. marrten, in sprite bottles. since it was that absynthe stuff. but no one ever got caught.

it was the mariner of the seas. feb break 06

Thats crazy. One of my friends got taken and questioned by security for literally sitting by the pool with stuff in his waterbottle, doing no harm at all. He got red flaged and every time he got off or on in a port they checked him.

Its just funny that people cant be thankful for the cruise....many people have never been on one, and your trying to come up with ways to ruin not only your trip but the people you are sailing with. Surely you can do with out some beer for a week.

well the thing was, that we were all 17-18 so we where all in that middle ground on rccl. and the teen clubs really only had 15 yr olds in there. so we basically all found eachother, and ended up being with 18 yr olds, so they all could drink. im 18, and my parents never signed the waiver though. but in the islands, we went to bars with our friends and also my mom would buy my friends and us beer. and we got wine at dinner.we mostly had beer and wine cause thats what we could have.
the only reason we had liquor was for a change. i mean, the first 3 nights, (cause it was 2 days before st thomas) we all didnt drink. so it was a good way to get to know everyone. and at least we where more comfortable with eachother when we started to drink, ya know? not just meeting the people.
i mean, yeah, i can live without it for a week. i usually do at home. but when your on vaca, in the caribbean, you gotta have somethin. if possible.

i manage to get alcohol onboard every time with rccl, the best way to do it is to smuggle it in water bottles like ya said cos when they see it on the x ray thing theyll never think to look thru..
