he posted a bulliten on the cruisemates myspace page sayin that he is no longer the teen host on cruisemates unfortantley...so i guesss thats why its not workin

thanks for the update lsclaf that is sure sad but i suppose he was having to put most of his time on being a club o2 director

I doubt he will be a Club O2 director much longer being as he should be a senior in high school this year?? IDK Club O2 directors rotate and get vacation/off time much faster than other positions. I think their contracts are shortertoo. One thing i did find out on the Fantasy this summer is that Club O2 directors work very hard and long hours and get little time to rest. Its a hard job but if you love it, its awesome!

Yes, I have stepped down from my Teen Host position here at Cruisemates.com. However from the work I have seen, we have an excellent writer who will be your new Teen Host. I wish him the best of luck, the job is not as easy as it looks!

Working here has given me many oppertunities to visit new and exciting ships, write for magazines and even helped land me a job at Carnival.

As for my Club O2 position, not all of your information is correct. Most O2 Directors work for 3-5 months, then go on a work break or vacation. As for it being a hard and long hour jobs, not sure how that came about. I work least on port days, other then that I just host activities and have fun with teens, not work at all by my means. I mean, I basically get paid to have a good time! I have tons of time to rest, dont have to work in any ports either. I am off in the evenings, so I will go to the "CB" or to the disco. I will be returning to Carnival in December, but not sure which ship yet. In September I will return and finish high school with an indepenednt study, and will not be able to provide you guys with the articles that I have been able to in the past.

Sad to see you go but happy to hear you are having a good time onboard. In response to your questioning abot where long and hard hours came from: When i worked with the Club O2 Director of the Fantasy this summer I expereinced and saw how, since we were doing short runs that usually ended up being 1/2 all sea days (out of a 4 day cruise- 2 days would end up being at sea either by itinerary or cancelled port HMC) and as you well know from 12 or 1pm on sea days until 3 am it is non stop for the teen director with mabye a little bit of a break during the dinner time. As i understand from the director i was working with then and the one previously, the shorter cruises end up rendering more work as you have to try and pack more into less time. Anyway i'm looking forward to hearing more from you and eventually applying to carnival for a potential position as a Club O2 Director for the summer of 2008 when i'm 18. Hopefully with having my name in with several carnival references as it is, i will have sucess in landing a job onboard one of their vessels. Anyway good luck and best regards.
