I have never been to Coco Cay. But i know that its a private island so mainly its a beach.

I was in St Thomas in November. We too a bus to Red Hook, and then a ferry to St John. and we went to the beach. very nice. and theres a VERY cute clothing store there called Rainbow. amazing tank tops, for amazing prices.

I was also in St Maarten then. We took a bus to Orient Beach (yes the nude one haha). and theres really good shopping here. umm. make sure you get a Guavaberry Colada. they are heavenly. and only $5! haha.

I've been to Cococay, all I did was lie on the beach and snorkel. Then I got hungry and went back to the ship for lunch.

I've been to all 3, on the Mariner of the Seas in December. Coco Cay is just like all of the other private islands: ship-ized meaning it has been developed by the ship, so you see lots of "fake" weathering, and selling cheap junk and expensive drinks. I will say though, that the beaches there are usually very nice but many times crowded. Best thing to do is to be on the first or second tender over to the island so you can get a lounge chair and a hammock of you so desire one.

St. Thomas- St. Thomas is a very pretty but commercialized island, the primary purpose of St. Thomas is shopping. It's supposedly the jewelry island of the caribbean. Keep in mind, being a territory of the US (US virgin islands) so the drinking age is 18 (being the caribbean) and its enforced unless u know where to go.

St. Maarten- This was my favorite island primarily because the beaches there are gorgeous! We went to orient beach and although it was clothing optional (eww not wat u think) the water as crystal clear and there are miles of nothing but beaches, bars and boutiques! The shpooing plaza right near ther dock is also a lot of fun, check out Jump Up and Diamond Casino both are ancient and really cool.
