Mabye I'm Just Weird!!??

Ok so i've been noticing lately that a lot of teens dont like or dont go to the teen clubs. Therefore, they state that teens dont go there when asked a question about them or that its only young teens. I now wonder, am I the only teen whose over 16 here that actually enjoys going to the teen clubs either more than just the first night or at night?

I do! but on carnival, I liked it there a lot, and actually spent quite a bit of time there, but on Princess I didn't like it and was like never there

There must be something about princes.. because i hated it there! It was really boring , me and my friends only went when there were dances!

But on voyager of the seas like everyone went and it was alot of fun! so i spent a good amount of time there!

i've only been on one cruise since i was older where it would make a difference. and i liked it. everyone on my cruise hung out there. some kids didnt show up till like day 3. but every one hung around there. there was no adult supervision so why not hang out there right? i was on royal carribean fyi.

yeah, I loved it on Carnival but on Princess the directors sucked and everything was wayyyy to organized and realllly boring... on ccl it was just kinda whatever and fun and everyone hungout there. on princess no one hardly ever went there

Only Carnival has a good teen program. RCCL SUCKS!

yeahh i hung out there when i went on carnival but when i was on princess i was never there. on rccl i spent time there at night

Heck yeah! Carnival is the best!

My parents are talking about going with a different cruiseline in the near future.... ugggh... hopefully we will cruise Carnival until I'm at least 18 though! Carnival IS cruising! It IS the party! What could I do without it? lol

i looooove carnival so much. everytime my parents mention cruising on a different line, i always respond back with how cheap carnival cruises are and how they can get more for their money! it works and then they book carnival again. im sure i would have fun on another line, i guess im just skeptical to any other lines because i have only cruised carnival as a teen (i went on rccl when i was like 7) and i love the party atmosphere so i'd be afraid it wouldnt be the same or as much fun. honestly, ive never really done the teen activity things... i always meet people on my own! im 18 now so im too old but whatever. im sure club 02 is awesome though, anything carnival does is....

no i love the teen clubs!!! i think they have great activites and i think its a great place to hang instead of wandering around the ship during the daytime with all the rents out its better being on the decks at night anyway...but im 17 and im a kid at heart and it seems like everyone that is younger around 15 is like i hate the teen club but to me if depends on the person to act their age you will have a better and more comfortable time

It seems like most of us on cruisemates actually use the teen clubs to their full advantage, but those kids that aren't regular cruisers probaly think that the teen clubs are just organized activities that they won't like. Hmmm.... who knows?!? You meet teens everywhere, but I just wish they would all meet up at the same place at the same time so you don't have to meet the most amazing people halfway through the vaca! lol Oh well, what are ya gonna do?

i love using the teen club!!!! and the teen directors are always tons of fun too!!! they are like 1/2 of the reason why a cruise is awesome!!! and teens that dont use the teen program...they suck. and theyre missing out on all the fun!!!!

I agree... It's all about who you are with. Sometimes everyone meshes better outside of the teen club.

well i guess it just depends. cuz i mean when i was on NCL, i was 12 but friends with all the people in the teen club (i'm young for my grade). so we only went at night to the disco. they said it was really stupid when they went though.

when i was on carnival we only went to the stuff at night too. cuz no one went to the stuff at night. sometimes we'd do the stuff after the disco too. not much though.

and then on my last cruise i went on the first night and there was only 3 other people there. and i didnt like them so i met my own friends outside the club. we only went to the hottie hunt and like did a scavenger hunt one time. umm there wasnt a teen disco but we made our own. we liked hanging out in the teen room, but not necessarily when there was activities for us. cuz we liked our own group and when we went to the activities all the other teens who went just followed us around and they were SOO annoying! so it was just annoying when we went.

yeah i just went on a princess cruise and other then the dance the activities were lame........I mean seriously i did it just to meet the other teens...there are so mnay better places to hang out though.....kinda sketchy but my cruise friends just hung out under the stairwells....

yeaaa i guess i just have more fun doing things on my own, then doing what the teen directors plan for us.

yeah sometimes the planned activites get annoying but i have to deal with them casue my mom writes about teen and kid activites so i'm forced to go. even when i don't want to. but its the only way to meet people so i go anyways.

Yeah the teen directors are fun.In my experience i've only had 2 truly bad directors and mainly just because they were new.

My last cruise director was okay. She was young and all, just didn't really plan much and the one thing most people showed up to was the disco each night, however she usually showed up to the disco late and had the 12-14 group lady cover. lol Oh well!

My 2 worst were, i hate to say it, on Carnival. One was a drinker and was outta the club by 11 and in the crew bar every night (so the other crew told me) and the other was rather recent and closed the club at 10 every night including the last night!

On Princess all the teen directors just really seemed like they didn't want to be there and all most of them would do was sit there and talk to each other and whine about being there.
On the Glory the director was really a social host who was asked to be the teen director for the week becuase they couldnt find a real one. She was actually really good though. There weren't many good teens that trip so I hung out with her a lot.

OMG that happened on my last one on the Mariner. The teen director for 15-17 was kinda blahh but not really bad. The 12-14 guy was named Elmo and was the coolest teen director i've ever met.

my teen directors have always been amazing.

on the Costa Magica..there was Marco and Sabryna. both from Italy. and multi-lingual. very cool. plus Marco was hot haha.

noordam- christina and sam. im friends with them on myspace...they werent the best..they were more into talking to each other than doing activities with us.

zenith..idr his name..but he was cool haha

zuiderdam-Jeff!!! best teen director ever!! haha it was his first week and we had so much fun messing with him..but he was cool about it. i still keep in touch with him too (and he was hot)

maasdam-vicky. she was cool.

other cruises...i wasnt in the teen program
