well i wanna go to a school with a good film program so that really narrows my search.
um location is a big thing too. my dream school is NYU. or anything in NYC. i really like philadelphia too. i'm thinking maybe west virginia by the mountains so i can ski too.
also i'm so attached to my friends and we all dont wanna go to the same college and we dont wanna go close to home. so we're all trying to find schools near each other. but different ones.
My cousin applied to lots of colleges, and surprisingly she got accepted to all of them! She is most likely going to Juniata its really good for genetics and thats what she wants to do. But she only applied to places in boston, nyc, and pennsylavania.
For me I want to go to Syracuse University, Princeton University, Duke University, Northern State University, South Carolina State University, North Carolina State University or George Washington University.
I haven't decided but I'm only a sophmore so I have time. But so far I want to go to NCSU, because its in a great location and its where i want to live when im older so its perfect, plus it has a really good program in education and since i want to be a teacher its amazing!

Well i deff don't plan on going to NYU thats for sure. I hope you guys are near genius status if you want to go there. but I kno i'm not.
I like Hofstra alot. Its right next to Jones Beach (in Long Island) and like 30min from the city. and Its far enough from home. but close enough that ifI wanna go back for homecoming games.
I also like Quinnipiac. I like URI but its the middle of nowhere. and i dont need to be in the city. but i would like to be near civilization. I dont kno i still have a good 6months plus to decide. I wanna look at SUNY Albany cause madd poeple at my school go there. so it must be good. no one that i'm friends with though. so its not like im going there cause i kno peopel.

I want to go to a school with a good Internation studies or International Relations program. I would really like to go to Sarah Lawrence or Washington University in St. Louis but WASU is really hard to get in to. Im also looking at Chatham and George Washington University too.
My mom is really pushing me to go to a college closer to home though so that I can live at home but I din't want to live at home! I think that that takes away from the whole college expirience and I wanna go away!!
i have visited all three of them and im about to go visit georgia because my parents went there and want me to look at the campus, arizona because my brother currently attends there, and arizona state

usc ucsb and arizona
ME TOO! -usc.
over spring break im checking out UCSB with my friend, Rahul.
I am going to one of these...university south alabama, pensacola christian, mobile christian, unversity of AL, or AU...not sure yet. but i want to be a pediatric nurse (major) and a photographer (minor)

i think im going to go to Stony Brook University for a bit then I really want to transfer in Cornell University. I may even just try to go to Cornell right away. My mom kinda wants me to stay home at first too. Im the oldest in the family so she worries about me being on my own. Cornell is my dream school though. For a long time I wanted to major in Animal Sciences but now Im kinda thinking about Pyschology.. who knows.
It really comes down to where you feel more comfortable and where you can see yourself for the next 4 years. It sounds lame, but when you visit you will just know. It will either feel right or it won't.
NYU felt right for me, but UCLA grabbed me. NYU is a bit overrated I personally think. I understand it's a dream school for people away from the northeast, but it's not very spectacular. You also need to be looking for a college experience in a city, not on a campus.
My sister goes to NYU and likes it, but admits it's not like living on cloud 9.
i think im going to go to Stony Brook University for a bit.
That is where my dad went to college!
I am going to Arizona State University in the fall. I wanted a good education program and they have a huge one (they started in 1885 as a college for teachers). Its also a really pretty campus and when I went to see it I really liked it.
I also looked at UCSD, SDSU, USD and UofA. UCSD I had a slim and none chance of getting in and USD didnt seem like a good fit for me. I liked SDSU and UofA so I applied there as well as the 2 Nevada universitys (UNLV and UNR) but I loved ASU.

cbanks i visited univeristy of georgia. its a really nice campus.
i think im going to suny albany because i got into the honors college and a scholarship there. plus i know some people up there. im going up there for the weekend in 2 weeks to visit them.
when i finally searched thru all my college letters and threw away the ones i didnt like, and kept the ones i did. only one of the school offered film!! and then when i went on collegeboard only 138 of them offered film. and once you get rid of all the schools really far away it doesnt leave a lot. so i think i narrowed my searches down to a few that i still dont know anything about really. so i guess i have to look into them more. so if any of you know anything it would totally helpp..
fordham university
desales university
ithaca college
la salle university
temple university
trinity college
vassar college
i was looking at the University of Miami lately...i like their course offereings for languages (i would take Italian and Portuguese) and they have a realy sweet studying abroad program...which i am all over. but im a sophomore so i have time to decide haha.

ohh i totally wouldn't mind going to school in philly. i loved it there too. i dont know something about it was so nice.
that's also the only public school i picked out. and i kinda wanna go to a private college cuz they're smaller. i hate big schools.
bri, vassar college is like 20min from me. I've never really been to it. but the area is pretty nice. and its in poughkeepsie. so its in a city. Not as big as NYC like Fordham basically is in. But theres a lot around. malls and clubs. and a million strip malls for miles.

SUNY Geneseo
SUNY Binghamton
Ithaca College
(I got into those)
and I'm still waiting to hear from:
Notre Dame
USC

Cornell and USC are my top 2. I find out next week. wish me luck!
Oh, and I also looked at UCLA, UCSB, and UCI... wasn't a big fan of them but they have amazing academics.

i agree with everything harmon25 says. im a senior this year and you really just need to feel comfortable on the campus. no matter what you've heard, or what your friends or family say, you make the decision, because you'll be ther for the next 4 years. a lot changes once you visit and start to seriously consider schools. i had a lot of dream schools (including Cornell and PSU) but things change, so keep your options open. Also, choose a school you want to go to, not because of other people going.
As for me, I'm staying within New York. I'll probably end up at SUNY Oneonta, SUNY Cortland or SUNY Binghamton.
