Default Inspiration in Aug Kids 16 & 13

Hi! We will be taking my daughters with us on our next cruise and
was wondering if they will be able to be together in the teen clubs?
My 13 year old looks older then my 16 year old. :o
They don't nessesarily want to be together, but DH would like it
very much.
What is there for them to do? This will be their first cruise.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Unfortuntely if the teen directors are checking names and issuing Club O2 stickers on you Sail and Sign cards, then there is no way that your 13 year old daughter will be admitted to the Club O2 facility. Carnival's teen programs are seperate. 12-14 aged cruisers are a member of the Camp Carnival program and while they have many of the same activities that the 15-17 y.o.'s do, they do not have their own exclusive teen club. Ages 15-17 are part of the Club O2 program and have their own teen club which, on the Inspiration (a Fantasy class vessel) is located on Promenade deck right between the casino and the arcade. You can try talking to the Club O2 director if you have any dire concerns. My best bet, however, based on my past cruising experience on that and similar ships, is that they will not be checking anything after the meet and greet and unless someone looks under 15, they will not question them. If you have specific questions feel free to IM, PM or E-mail me. Good luck and happy cruising.

on cruises way in the past before i was 12. they never would check your ages because i would be 11 and in the teen club. but now unfortunately they do. and i had to learn that the hard way when i went on a cruise when i was 12, already became friends with some 13 year olds, and then they checked my age and kicked me out of the club.

on carnival and rccl they have the ages set up at 12-14, and 15-17 because there's so many teens. but on other lines it's 13-17.

i'm sure because of they're age difference, they'll meet other friends their own age and not even see each other. i'm 16, and i definitely dont wanna hang out with a 13 year old on my cruise, no matter how old they look. so they probably should just stay in their age groups.

i'm not trying to be mean. but i'm just being honest.

i mean i realize age doesnt really matter. but when i was on my cruise i was with 17 year olds and stuff. not 13 year olds. all the 13 year olds annoyed us. i would say its pretty rare that the 16 and 17 year olds hang out with the 13 year olds cuz isn't that like 7th and 8th grade?

hello there,
well I went on the Inspiration last year, also my first cruise. and I was 15.
I went the first night to club 02... just to meet people. and the only other thing all the kids went to was the dance club. tell your 16 year old to go to the club 02 meeting the first night, just to meet the kids. club 02 on the inspiration is nothing special. its a room, thats kinda hidden and a little hard to find. but to be honest with you, there is like nothing in there, there were a few chairs, adn a tv that wasnt hooked up yet. and the director lady isnt that nice either. she's kind demanding. but as long as your daughter goes to the dances she will have a blast, she will meet some new friends and probably just hangout with them the whole time. you most likely wont see her unless its dinner time or your at a port. ohh and tell her to go up to the top deck with all her friends adn sit by the front of the deck ( the sports deck) thats waht we did all the time, and got to know each other.

Now for your 13 year old, there was these 2 kids, who were brothers. one was 15 i think and the other was 13 or 14 and he was aloud into the club with us. it probably just depends on how old she looks. my one friend looked older than he was and they kept checking his card to make shure he wasnt a molestor or something. but to be honest, the 13 year old might get bored with your 16 year old. my friends and i just hungout mostly, we didnt really go swimming that much, and we werent always doing something. most of the time just chilling or walking around. so a 13 year old might get bored. and the 16 year old would probably get annoyed with her little sister tagging along.

but anyway your kids will have a lot of fun. i know the younger kids were always with their camp carnival thing and they were always in a big group with a director. so your best bet is to let your 13 year old go and meet kids her own age.

good luck and enjoy your cruise!

Aiight, allow me to comment on this. Being an inspiration traveller, first of all, the Club O2 directors rotate frequently and i doubt the same director is on that ship. I'll IM dan and ask whose on there. Also the CLub O2 facilities on there now are fully operational and have everything that the other ships do.

Hey,
I am the O2 Director onboard the Inspiration right now, and there is a brand new club onboard. We just built it about 4 months ago, and it is even better then the adult club!

I might be the O2 Director there for your cruise, if not I will be on the Carnival Legend, let me know if there is anything else I can help with.

Nope, every ship has one EXCEPT:
Holiday & Celebration

The Destiny's is really nice, it had a brand new one put in last year up by the spa.

Speaking as a father of three girls , 12 , 13 and 14 years old, i definitely do not want my 14 year old who looks 16 hanging out with 16-17 year old boys! (remember i was a 16-17 year old boy once ! ).

My wife and I plan a completely different family vacation each summer.

We specifically picked this summer to tke the kids on their first cruise because of Carnivals kids groups ....meaning all three of the girls will be in the same group 12-14 and our 9 year old son will be in his group.

yea gotta admit though. i was with a 17 year old boy when i was 14 on a cruise. he was junior, and i was a freshman so it doesnt seem that bad when you look at it that way. my parents didnt really care. they kinda laughed about it cuz he wasn't the "best guy on the ship" haha.

Even though all of the ships have Club O2 except Holiday and Celebration, it would benefit Carnival to put in some kind of facility on those ships. As tiny and IMO crappy as they are, theyre still extremely popular. Well the Celebration is, being the only ship out of Jacksonville, Florida, the Celebration catches all of the VA, NC, SC, and GA traffic that is not willing to make the trip to Port Canaveral, Miami, Tampa or Ft. Lauderdale.
