The teens section is reserved strictly for teen cruisers ages 12-19 and any users found posting in this area whom do not have the intent to informabout cruising or on a legitimate subject will have their members account suspended, restricted or possibly even deleted by the site's administration. Please keep Cruisemates a safe and enjoyable place for all of our teen members and remember to stay in your designated forums.

Those rules are posting guidelines.
They are to help keep this board organized.

Do not twist my words.
All of the other boards are open to the general public. This is reserved for teens. I know on other cruising sites, I dont exactly "fit in" with all the adults. And I know all of the other teenagers on this site feel the same way, that is why we are here.

yeah i agree its not that serious all you hav to do is leave the teen post area n go to the other ones it took me 4 ever! to find a website with teens who love crusing just as much as me n no offense but we dont need somone who isnt a teen posting stuff that we dont relate to..

this is not a matter of ages for certain boards in my opinion. yeah, its a little odd that people who are clearly not in the teen age group would want to come onto our board, and start joining in on the "inappropriate" topics, just to see if they can get our board in trouble. my parents don't care if i'm on here and if i'm talking about drinking on cruises with other teens. i'm 18 and an adult, therefore i can talk about whatever i'd like to talk about on the internet as long as i don't offend anyone. the difference in the teen board and the other board such as the carnival cruise lines board is that this is a place specifically set for teens and young people to talk and share cruise experiences with one another. a board like carnival cruise lines (which i also have posted on) is a place to talk and share experiences on ccl with cruisers.

hahah i would gladly take the honor of that position.

. this is so lame and pointless of them. they think we are scared or worried that we would get in trouble for talking about things teens do all the time... this is supposed to be a fun environment for teens to feel comfortable sharing information on cruises not a place where people who are clearly not teenagers come to "scare" teenagers out of posting.

I'm pretty sure that all teenagers are basically the same. Even if they dont partake in inappropriate activites, they are most certainly exposed to it at school. I cant see how you think we would be "role models" for other teens anyways. Teens can think for themselves, you know. We are not mindless hairballs that would follow each other over a cliff.

honestly, what we talk about on here is just normal teen stuff. nothing that no one knows about... i really would like to know who would be offended by talking about meeting cute boys on cruises or drinking on vacations! seriously. a vacation is a time to relax, have fun, and do things that you normally would not do at home. if that means drinking for teens, then so be it. its nothing that no one knew about before. teens have been drinking and casually hooking up with other teens forever. its not going to change. i would really like to know what teenager who was visiting our board and reading some of our posts that talk about drinking alcohol would honestly think to themselves "oh if those kids on the internet say that they drink on cruises that means i must have to drink on my cruise too". plus, there are plenty of teens posting on here about how they don't need to drink to have fun on cruises, and i know that for a fact.

I really don't think anything we talk about is really that inappropriate, and I don't think it matters if you visit the boards regulary to read through them, to me it seems like it would be a waste of time to read everything we write.

Jess..I also agree with you 100%.

And hairballs? Thats a wonderful way to refer to us as.

I have to put in my 2 cents. My teen nephew lives with me and uses my computer , browes this forum and mentioned all of the rude comments that were made last night by this adult poster. My advice to her- LEAVE THE TEENS ALONE! They are not bothering anyone! Remember you were a teen at one time. I had to say this after hearing about this. Bob

Wow... these teen boards have really changed...

This is not some internet club, really people get over yourselves. Parents are free to look around for the info and post questions/comments too.

I know you guys make up like little "groups" and whatnot to put in your signatures, but really, your fighting with adults, on a internet message board.

Dont really mean to fuel the fire, just put it into context people.

i'm not really involved in this really. but i mean it shouldnt be a surprise to me about what we talk about. it's the same things i talk to people about at school. i mean i dont drink on cruises or go around hooking up with tons of guys. but i know teens do it. and it's not like a weird thing. i'm sure when the adults were teens they made out with guys too. it's not some new thing. at volleyball tournaments (my moms the coach) she's always in our conversations about drinking and what guys we've made out with. and she doesnt think its weird to hear things. so i dont think they should be getting upset about this.

Greg, you are very welcome. I am a high school teacher and have taken 16 cruises. Every time I get back from one, the students can't wait to look at the digital pics on my computer and here about my adventures from the cruise. I just got back from Hawaii in February aboard the NCL Pride of Hawaii and shared a slideshow presentation and we spent an entire period talking about it. Bob

what a cool teacher. my teacher just got back from a cruise this spring break and wouldnt even bring back pictures.

but this kid on my cruise ,Wes, well we were sitting there eating pizza, and he looks up and his math teacher is standing there with his son. Wes was like OMG thats my math teacher! and then he made us run outside so his teacher wouldnt see him. hahah.
