Planning another cruise....

Ok. well I want to plan one for like the last week of October or the week b4 that. It needs to be out of New Orleans. What cruise line would be best? Right now I am looking at the following.

5night?
Carnival Fantasy-Oct 20th it is $1,074.72 (4 ppl inside cabin)

The only thing is I am trying to find a 7 night or day but none of the lines are going out of N.O.

I called CCL about the Triumpg and its in Miami. Anyone seen anything about ships going there or perhaps one thats coming to Mobile???? Mobile would be soo awesome since I live here haha. yea. all help needed. thanks

it still does. but i have been on it already. and its SOOOO small! i dont think i could stand going on it again.

and not only that since all those ppl got on it from the hurricane i have had alot of ppl tell me its nowhere near the same. its really run down

Well I looked, and thats the only cruise ship sailing out of that area, during october..can you go on it any other month? Because NCL and RCCL sail longer cruises from New Orleans, during other months.

not if i wanna go this year. we cant go in november or december. so unless i wanna wait a whole freakin year. no.

Well it wouldn't be exactly a year...lol

But unless you fly somewhere else, thats the only ship. But I also agree its really small so I would never go on it, but a cruise is a cruise! So if thats the only ship you can go on since its near where you live then go on it!

well because my parents wouldnt want to do that cause then we would be going to the same ports twice within 2weeks. so yea wouldnt work. 7 night or 5 night thats all they will do

what about driving to galveston??? for the conquest which is 7 days. is that a far drive?????? i have no idea. i'm from california.

okay so i'm in a travel agent mood so i just looked up on mapquest the time from mobile to galveston and it is 7 hours. then i thought you could go out of tampa and drive there and the distance is also 7 hours for driving. the carnival legend goes of out tampa in october along with a lot of other ships. then i thought of jacksonville, florida and the distance is 5 hours. and the celebration goes out of florida for a 5 day cruise in october.

ecstasty sails from galvenston texas on 10-15 for 4 nights, goes to Progresso, and cozumel and a day at sea starting at 329

yea well we were gonna on a cruise to the USVI but that wouldnt be until april of 2008 so i wanted to go in oct. 07' anyways the drive to tampa, and galveston are out of the ? due to the hotel stay. im paying for this cruise :] haha go me. i have already been on the legend march06 and the conquest twice. so i want to go on new ships. but i think that the fantasy is gonna be fine. i already looked at the longer cruises but i wont have enough time to save the extra $$ so the fantasy at that price is great :] thanks every1 for ur help.
