I voted for the Ecstasy but I'll give you my honest oppinion on both. I have a preference for Carnival's Fantasy Class ships (of which the Ecstasy is the 2nd) over Royal Caribbean's smaller ships.
The Enchantment of the Seas is appx. 3K Tons larger than the Ecstasy making them similar in size. The Enchantment is about 10 years old whereas the Ecstasy is around 16, making the Enchantment significantly newer. However, the Ecstasy, like the rest of the Fantasy class ships, has recently undergone the majority of its scheduled refurbishment and is due for its completion in dry dock sometime before mid-2008, which won't help you, but the majority of its renovations have been completed. The Enchantment was refurbished in 2005.
The Ecstasy also features Club O2 for teens ages 15-17 which I prefer over Fuel/The Living Room which is Royal Caribbean's teen club program on the Enchantment of the Seas.
Here are some recent pictures of both ships:
Atrium at Night
1/2 of the Pool (Lido) Deck on M/S Ecstasy
Slide, Hottub and Funnel
RCI Enchantment of the Seas
EOTS Pool Deck
My Fair Lady Dining Room
Show: Can't Stop The Rock
Overall, the Enchantment of the Seas will prove to be a nicer and more up to date ship. Though I like Carnival's Fantasy class ships, I don't think the Ecstasy can compete with the EOTS. Good luck, hopefully this was helpful.
