Cruise Opportunity of a Lifetime: LOST
So, my mom just recieved a phone call from the corporate booking office for Royal Caribbean International in Miami. She and I have been invited to sail free of any charge, in an Executive Suite onboard the Liberty of the Seas on October 27, 2007. Unfortunately for me: A. I would fail school as your allowed only 3 non-medical absences per semester. B. I would miss State Marching Band competition. C. I'd miss Halloween night and as the owner and coordinator of the area's largest haunted house, yeah can't do that. I told her to go as it was a hella awesome opportunity. As for me, well i'm just about to throw up at the thought of not getting to go when I was invited.

wow, that really sucks. i'd kill for a chance like that, but then again, at least you have your priorities straight

I will go!

Dude. That's gotta suck. What an awful dilemma! Like mmerali said, atlest you have your priorities straight.

Your sooooo lucky. I would totally go, because at my school you can miss 5 non medical absences a quarter, and 10 a semester. Plus you get more days if you go on vacation because you call the school and tell them..haha soI would have no problem going. But its good you know whats more important.

i dont think my school cares how many days you miss. i miss soo many every year and always have my grades in the 90s.

so Ryan....ill go on that cruise for ya.

yea thats really gotta suck..but you know there will always be another chance. :)

LOL, this chance comes around once in a blue moon. I'm an A student but even so, i have trouble getting out to go on field trips?!?!?! Its bullshunk but whatever. They'll pay, oh yeah they'll pay ;);)

Ainsley August 17th, 2007 03:57 PM

haha i bet they are in tons of activities is it really that hard?

Djcarolina August 17th, 2007 06:35 PM

Its difficult at best. I'm in marching band, concert band, knight pride (spirit), JROTC, freshman mentor, and yearbook. Each one has its fair share of days out of class, adding up to quite a few over the course of a semester. My teachers retaliate by making me do alternative assignments which many times are MUCH harder. Oh well, u pay to play.

ahhh band.... I've missed the past two Christmas concerts for cruises, the first year my Band director made me write a 4 page (no double space) report on Tchaikovsky....uggg, but last year we got a new director and he forgot.. haha

I always miss tons of days for skating too, and I completely agree with Ryan that the teachers retaliate and give harder work!!
