I've never cruised on Carnival, but have cruised on Freedom of the Seas and have Liberty of the Seas scheduled for December. I would highly recommend RCCL's Freedom Class ships. I'm sure your entire family would have a wonderful time. There is so much to do and the Flowrider is awesome for all ages.

Although I haven't been on RCI Freedom of the Seas.. I have been on Carnival Liberty[ which is identical to Carnival Splendor ]. I have looked up information on Freedom Class ships....and I do love Carnival, but it looks like there is so much more to do on Freedom Class Ships.
Dont get me wrong.
On either ship your gaurenteed to have fun.

No, the Splendour isnt identical to the Freedom class, and there is no freedom class on carnival. People mistake that, but the Carnival Freedom is a member of the Conquest family and the Splendour is modeled after that but has its own unique distinctions based on its original intent for Costa Cruise Lines ( A Carnival Family Company). As someone whose sailed on both classes of ships, the Liberty will render many more group options for all ages and is a much larger ship. Royal Caribbean's Freedom Class ships offer the highest space-passenger ratio on the high seas and certainly the most venues, activities and options as well.
