ahh, the fourth cruise. I still remember mine...I think. In any case, there are many things you can do to make more friends and have a good time. First off, I would recommend going off alone instead of with your brother. If he's only two years younger, he should have no problem fending for himself. Next, you want to be as outgoing as possible. Talk to people, hang out in the teen club on the first afternoon/evening, go out on deck. Whichever floats your boat. Remember, if it feels awkward, just ignore the feeling. It's awkward for everyone else as well. Personally, I can kind of relate, because even after 13 cruises, there are still a fair share of awkward moments. What one has to do to make a cruise great is just shrug them off and keep your head up. Do your best to make a majority of friends on your first night on, because cliques form super fast and after they form, its hard to move around between them. Also try to friend as many people as possible, so if it doesnt work out with one person or persons, then you always have the others. If you have anymore questions or anything, just ask.

oh, ok. Then it shouldn't be much of a problem to make friends if you have a brother so long as the both of you have the same or similar tastes. Try to be close, just don't look too clingy either. Just hang out and go up to random people. Its easy, and as awkward as it sounds, it really isn't (you get used to it after so many cruises). Just have fun, lay back, and don't pay attention to what everyone else thinks.

I agree. Give eachother some space-- chill with people separatly, atleast some of the time... It's good to not be 'yourself' sometimes.

Try not to be yourself, but don't go so far as inventing a whole alternate personality for yourself either...some guy on my last cruise created a whole alter ego for himself. Until he got found out.
