Default Dinner Seating

Okay everyone,
so on my next cruise everyone I'm going with[not me!] want late dinner seating! Which is at 8:30... so I'm nervous about not being able to do the teen activites because I'll be at dinner.

Anyone know if that will affect anything.
If you have ever been on Liberty of the Seas[or are going on it] and have the sheet that says what the teen club is doing... can you please scan it into the CPU and email me with it! :]

It may/may not affect. I know for sure that RCCL starts the 15-17 stuff at around 10. The younger 12-14 is like 8-10 if i remember correctly. However, you may just want to take the early because all the good stuff happens between 8pm and 2am

Late dinner is actually good!!
you can spend more time on the island and come back onboard and NOT have to worry about getting ready for that 6.30 dinner!!! so you will have time to shower and get all pretty for dinner!!!

and teen activites happen all night long so yeah. and the the dances dont even start til (at earliest?) 10pm. so you will be fine with that.

or...you could come back onboard from excursions and shower and grab something to eat at the buffet and then go to the teen activity if its something that you dont want to miss thats happening during dinner or something.

On my last cruise Serenade of the seas, I had late seating, finsished around 10, went up no problem, it was almost better with late seating, I was worried that this would affect the "teen activities" aswell, it didnt. It really comes down to your age, if your 14 then i t will affect you, because most people go in around before 12.30 1 so it doesnt leave you with loads of time. But if you are in the 15-17 age group , and u have a relaxed curfew, then late seating might work out better

What time do the shows usually start on RCL?
....
You know the activities where like you get ot know people, what time do those start?

I'm just worried that like if that activity is during the time when I have dinner everyone will make their little groups... and It'll be hard for me to like join in.. ya know?

well theres 2 shows times..one for each dinner seating (usually..idk how RCCL works i havent cruised them)

and idk when the RCCL teen meeting is. it might be before dinner seatings like at 5pm. or it might be after dinner at like 10pm.
usually they will try to accomodate the teens dinner seating times so that they all can come to the club!

i had late seating on the explorer in june and yes it does cut into the teen activities...... we only went to dinner twice on the nine night cruise. but we still tipped the full amount plus more to the waiters because they most definitely deserve the money.

Joe-- on the first night you know how they have like that activity to get to know everyone. Did it cut into that??? I just like need to go to that cause I'm not REALLY outgoing so that helps me out to go to that.

when i was on the LOS this summer.. i had early seating. and after that i did go to that teen thing the first night, but it really wasn't good. like had i never gone, it wouldn't have made a difference. honestly only about 20 were there and that's really not a lot. Many came in and then left... I did that after the teen director finished his whole speech about the program which was real boring since he didn't do an icebreaker type game with everyone... he was just like "alright so now you can all mingle and talk to each other"...so thats what i did but everyone was just so awkward so i left...and never went back..well i did but never to do the activities. We just used the internet there cause it was cheaper (but real slow).

The only downfall for late seating is that their shows are AFTER the early seating shows. So after my show (which was the first) ended, the second show would start for the late seating ppl which was around 10 30-11 or something like that. Honestly i think they should put the shows while early seating ppl ate dinner.
It shouldn't matter what dinner seating.. cause after dinner you'd meet your friends and probably go to the show with them.

Anyway, make sure you visit the pub on the promenade! thats where i met most people... ahah and theres a dude playing guitar/singing songs there everynight...real good too!

I'm really nervous for some reason that I won't meet anyone.
gaaahh. WHY can't my mom and her friend and my g-ma, just have early seating!?! My moms friend was like but I'll be hungry later [she's never been on a cruise.. yah that won't be a problem.

Meeting people is the least of your worries. As awkward as it is and as shy as you may be, you might as well just go for it and talk. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. I did that last time, and by the end of the cruise I think I pretty much knew almost everyone my age on the ship. I make it a personal goal to be as outgoing as humanly possible and to try to meet as many people as possible as well. So far its worked.

ohh yeah... the flowrider and bball court are really good ways of meeting people too... so you dont have to just rely on the teen center!
