Yeah, that happened last friday. No one died, but they were left in the freezing cold for several hours and the captain tried to be noble and stayed onboard longest.

i, too, saw that on the news. i thought it was really interesting but of course sad that another cruise ship has gone to the bottom of the ocean floor! i wonder what the guests on board do with all of their belongings?

I heard about it also.

I dont even know if we could consider it a cruiseship, it was only about 2,000 GRT. The smallest cruiseships nowindays are around 75,000 GRT. It's more of the size of a yacht.

That makes the 2nd ship that has sunk WHILE I'VE BEEN ON A CRUISE! Last Spring Break, the M/V Sea Diamond sunk while I was on spring break and now this happens while I was on the Carnival Sensation.

i heard that they were prepared and they knew the ship was going down. they had enough supplies to last them at least a month in the lifeboats. and i work at a travel agency...and the "cruiseline" was actually a tour operator called Gap Adventures...they do alot of exotic adventures to weird places. lets just say this is not the first disaster i have heard of with this company...
