Nope- won't work. Every ship has something different right now. Some ships use a black sharpie to write N or G (Navigators 12-14 and Guests 15-17), some use a silver sharpie, some punch a hole in your card, and most are moving towards stickers that have your age group on them. I know because I have a roll of the 15-17 stickers that i brought home with me from the sovereign!

I went on a carnival cruise for spring break this year and im 14. i tried to sneak in. and of course, when i tried to beg for forgiveness, they wouldnt budge. i was soooo out of there. they busted me and wouldnt let me back in for the rest of the trip. as hard and annoying as this may seem, your better off just goin along with what your supposed to be doing, and making fun of it later!! haah

I would say, dont go the first day when all the stickers or other stuff is given out, and then come in the second day and most likely nobody will check...

Yeah RCCL has its own system of holes and such to determine age. If I correctly recall, 2 holes is under 18; 1 hole under 21; No holes, 21+.
I'm not sure about the M1/other text markings, but I know they exist.

I know I made friends with a boy who was 17 on CCL. when I 14 and he let me have his Club o2 sticker. haha So I was able to get in, even if carded but I wasnt because I looked old enough and the teen director liked me haha
