I'm 13 and I am going on a Princess cruise for the first time.
I've been on a few on other cruise lines in the past, but I was wondering if there are many young teens around my age on Princess?
And what's the best way for me to meet people... should I go to the teen center or whatever you call it on the first day, or should I just walk around and hopefully meet some new people? I would hate to just have to spend time with my parents. I'm a bit shy, but I can open up to people eventually and I like to have a good time.
So.. any advice/help/tips would be greatly appreciated. [/b]
uhhh i havent ever been on the princess line. so idk how many teens will be on it. you will have fun either way. my sister is 13 and she always has alot of fun on our cruises. i never really see her and thats awesome haha. we each make our own little group of friends. we both have fun and i know you will too. you just have to go in with an open mind and dont just sit there and not say anything be verryyyy social and everything will be fine.

I was on Golden Princess when I was your age (i'm 17 now). The best way to meet people, as I remember it, was a combination of the pools decks, teen club, arcade, etc. Its impossible not to meet anyone unless you're ultra shy and are a mute. Just be outgoing, and remember, a cruise really is dependent on the people. I no longer cruise for ships or itinerary, but more for the people. Its soo much fun to meet people, and be able to make a total fool of yourself with no consequence.

A lot of older teens feel that the 12-14 age group teens are "immature" or what not because they don't share a lot of common interests. While someone 13 might really enjoy a scavenger hunt, a 17 year old might be more interested in a game of spin the bottle. However, i think that everyone is entitled to a great time on vacation and age shouldn't inhibit that. You can rest assured that there will be a significant amount of teens your age on your cruise as its on a large, popular cruise line. I'm not an expert on princess, having only sailed twice, but i'm sure they have a program dedicated to teens your age. My sugguestion would be to gather your options and go to the initial meetings for your age group. If nothing else, this will allow you the opportunity to meet other teens/friends your age to hang and spend time with throughout your cruise. Carnival and Royal Caribbean have Circle C and Navigators (respectively) as their teen (12-14) programs, and i'm sure Princess has something similar as well. You'll have a great time, just be sure to go in with an open mind and a flexible personality....
Happy Cruising

Actually they just have ages 13-17. One group.
That's why I'm a little nervous, but we'll see. I'll go the first meeting in the teen thing and maybe I'll meet some new people.
Dont be nervous!! But just make sure you go to the meeting!!!! The 13-17 year olds are grouped together for a reason...a lot of 13 & 14 years olds are more mature than their age and get along great with the older teens...and a lot of the older teens love acting immaturely and having fun with the younger teens. haha.

I was on Princess last year There were a lot of ppl around your age, I found actually that I was one of the oldest ones there. But it was ok, because i found ppl my age that I hung out with.
There was a nice range of ages. My brother was 14, and he found a bunch of ppl his age, and his friend was with us, who was 15, and he found a bunch of ppl his age, and then I found a group of ppl my age. It was really nice and worked out really well.
HOPE YOU HAVE FUN!!!

Coral Princess - spring break 2007
And another one that I can't remember the name of for spring break 2006 - teee heee
I'm nearly 15, and on the cruise ship I went on in December(Carnival Ecstasy) there was a huge range of teens.
I actually hung out with a 13 year old girl, a 13 year old boy, a 14 year old boy, a 16 year old boy, and two 17 year old boys. Sometimes we would chill with this 19 year old too.
