Default Summer Cruise Recomendations

OK guys, for my senior trip me and 5 of my friends are thinking about a cruise. I'm the only one who's been on a cruise out of the 6 of us, so we would like help from veterans. Do you recommend any summer cruises that will be fun .... mind you most of us will be 18 so keep that in mind thanks.

First off, where would you like to depart from?

AND

If you guys want to go by yourself-- only a couple cruise lines will let you go at 18 without a parent...

Just something to ponder!

Mexico if you live on the west coast.

and Bermuda if you live in between cuz its the best =]

once you answer Greg's questions we will all be able to help you out some more =]

i live in upstate NY, but we were just talking about going on the 8night Eastern Caribbean out of NYC on the Norwegian Spirit. We are also looking at the 9night Eastern Caribbean out of NYC on the Caribbean Princess. Any suggestions?

Out of those two, I would pick the Caribbean Princess. Its a day longer, bigger ship, and since its like the Crown Princess its gorgeous.

But if you dont mind leaving from Florida do Liberty or Freedom of the Seas.

and the Caribbean Princess is a better ship.
and its soooo much easier to take a bus from Albany (if you live near there?) to the port.

the only cruise line that allows you to sail alone at 18 is disney.

other than that, youre going to need a parent of someone in the group to go with you all which you already know.

i think you should sail on NCL.

Let me just throw a suggestion in there. Try to book for earlier in the summer, like the end of June into July. The later in the season, the more of a chance of hurricanes.

go the the carnival miracle out of new york!!!!!! i did that 4 years ago and it was amazing...

the inteniary is

day 1 new york, ny
day 2 fun day at sea
day 3 fun day at sea
day 4 san juan puerto rico
day 5 st. thomas
day 6 tortola
day 7 fun day at sea
day 8 fun day at sea
day 9 new york, ny

carnival would be the most fun for a senior trip in my opinion because of the party atmosphere... you will have to bring a long someone who is 25 or older (so i'm guessing a parent?) but there is plenty for them to enjoy as well!

We hate 08!

In our school at least. No one like them.

Anyway, were out of school the 10th of June, and the seniors are out earlier (something like the date you get out tyler), but I'm going to convince my parents that I want to go on a cruise for my 17th, haha.

Ok, any suggestions for persuading them?

Yaaa we are still in school in June, I think my school goes to like June 20 something..I hate it. But we don't start until September! And if you get out in May you usually start in August.

Colin when is your 17th birthday? Just be like cruises are amazing, you get a lot for your money..blah blah blah. I'm sure once you get back from your next cruise it wont be that hard to convince them to do another one!

My birthday is actually on June 14th, so it would be awesome!

Ya, my parents are big cruisers. They went on a bunch before my brother and I were born, so they like it. Also, another plus for going on another cruise is that my father couldn't get a week off of work, so he isn't going and is a bit ticked about it. So, I reminded him about that and he seemed interested!

haha just tell your parents that you only turn 17 once and you need to celebrate it right, by going on a cruise! do you have a job? if so, just say you'll pay part of it or something... find a ship and both you AND them want to go on and keep telling them about it, and all the cool things that they would enjoyy.... basically just like persuade them that they NEEEEED another cruise... haha... thats what i did last year... i got my mom to book two cruises at once, spring break and summer! haha it was amazing. i'm pretty proud of myself for that!

soo i think i'm going on a cruise on june 2nd with 2 of my best friends... do you guys think there will be a lot younger people? i hope so... i get out like may 23 or something...

I am almost positive the only ship that let's you have no parent if you are under 25 i think is Disney... you only have to be 18.

And wow you get out really late

Ah nuts! I totally forgot!

ACT's on June 14th, which is also my birthday, bummer!

Not sure if theres anyway I can take another one either, considering the colleges I'm applying to are going to require both SAT+ACT, and application deadlines are like October maybe?

I'm going to have to think this one through
