Default options

I have two options for a cruise.

Option One:

June 21, 2009
Summer Cruise
Adventure of the Seas
Leaving from San Jaun
7 nights

San Juan, Puerto Rico;
AT SEA
Bridgetown, Barbados;
Castries, St. Lucia;
St. John's, Antigua;
Philipsburg, St. Maarten;
St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Island;
San Juan, Puerto Rico

Option Two:

April 17, 2009
Spring Break Cruise
Explorer of the Seas
Leaving from Cape Liberty Cruise Port, New Jersey
9 nights

Cape Liberty Cruise Port, New Jersey;
AT SEA
AT SEA
San Juan, Puerto Rico;
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas;
Casa De Campo, Dominican Rep;
Labadee, Haiti;
AT SEA
AT SEA
Cape Liberty Cruise Port, New Jersey

I think I like the spring break one better , because there are four days at sea, also my mom wont have to pay for airfare cause we can drive to jersey. But I don't know either of the ships that well. Which one do you guys think is better?

Oh and also whichever cruise I pick is going to be just me and my mom. I really want to spend time with her but I also want to meet new people. Any tips?

I'd suggest whichever home port is easiest for you to get to.

I say whichever is closer to where you live the better.
Flying = expensive & a hassle

I've been on Adventure before. Lets just say that it is the reason I don't cruise with RCCL anymore (well at least until I turn 18). While the ship was good looking, the cruise itself wasn't so enjoyable; it ranks near the bottom of the list of cruises I have taken. I recommend Explorer.

I have been on the Adventure and the curfew is definitely enforced... because it departs from Puerto Rico...haha

but it still was great...

I also say Explorer of the Seas. I had my favorite cruise on it! And leaving from Bayonne is really nice, because its so close to my house and plus generally you'll meet people from jersey or new york which is nice.

The islands are also really nice! But I'm sure whichever you go on you will have fun!

I've been on the Voyager and the Explorer out of Cape Liberty. The terminal is great, as is the ship. Either way, you'd have fun. But Explorer is by far my favorite ship. :]

definitely the second option... i did that exact cruise and it was seriously AMAZING. the itinerary is awesome and the layout of the four sea days is even better..... seriously if you get to choose, i would choose option 2.

Hmm okay everyone seems to be saying the second option.
That's what I was leaning towards in the begining anyways, but my mom says she would rather go in summer so I wouldn't miss schoool. I dont know i guess i will talk to her about it.

Go for option 2!!!!
Its 9 days!!!! those 2 extra days make sooooo much of a difference!!! More time to be on a cruise and have fun!!!!!!

and NJ is easy to cruise from...especially if you guys drive. You can bring home whatever you want and not have to worry about it getting broken on the airplane too.

Cruises out of New York have got a reputation for being party cruises, so i guess this would be the best option

Watch it alex- James has seniority lol He's one of our original members and while a bit out there, he knows his stuff. And besides, its not really as old as u make it sound.

I too put in my vote for Explorer, just cuz its a party cruise. Shipwise...theyre the same ship, P1 Voyager Class and I don't think i'd like sailing out of PR, just visiting was enough for me.
