Default what's an 18 year old to do??

Hey everyone!! i hope youre all having a lovely summer.
My name is Becky and I'll be going on my second cruise at the end of August aboard the Carnival Glory. I'm really excited about it but since I'll be turning 18 mid august, Ill be too old for the club O2. so should I ask to get in or should I just stick with the 18+ clubs?
I figure itll be a lot easier to tell my parents that Im participating in a teen program rather than hanging around clubs..? Or maybe I'll just end up meeting people in and around the cruise as I did last time on the Liberty?\
please let me know what you think.

Meet people at the pool, the nightclub, tablemates perhaps, its slightly harder to make friends because your too old for the teen club, however, its probabaly just a case of being more forward and introducing yourself to people etc

I have been wondering about cruising at 18 SOOO freaking much! I hate that I will be too old for Club O2 and worried finding people around my age will be super difficult. I still want to go to the club and dance and meet people but I don't know if that's possible. haha So now I'm holding back the whole family because I said I don't know if I want to cruise next summer because I will be 18... oops. lol

Ask the teen director if you can get into O2. Last year, on the Carnival Victory from NYC to Canada, I was 18. I asked the O2 director if I could join in, and apparently I was on the "official teenager list", and was let into O2. The director was Laura, and she was by far the best youth director I've met on any of my 9 cruises (8 cruises that I was young enough for youth programs).

However, this year, on the Carnival Miracle from NYC to the Caribbean, I was 19, and met an 18 year old girl who asked if she could get into O2, and the O2 director told her she was too old.

I would suggest asking the youth director if you can join O2. For all you know, you might get lucky like I did on the Victory.

i dont think u have to ask permission to get into o2. u can just walk in. i did. they dont stop u at all. unless u look like some old woman, if u wanted to get into club o2 u can. dont hold the family up! u all need to go. u will have a fabulous time. this way u can migle between the 2 clubs. when one is not really poppin, u can go to the other. have a great time!

True... Going in between the clubs would be a lot of fun just because I could get away with both. haha Maybe I will start getting the family hyped for another cruise next summer.
