Default Oasis of the Seas

Around a week ago, I found myself looking at the graphically created video of the Oasis of hes Seas. I got to the point where it shows someone zipping down the zip line, before I had to turn it off. The video made me feel sick as the ship looks incredible, and with my next ship being the rather old and tender celebrity galaxy, I deemed it unwise to view such a fantastic ship such a long time before I possible cruise aboard it.

Im sure many of you will feel sure that you will love this ship, however, asmany adults have argued 'maybe its too big'. I think I might hasten to agree with them. Can you imagine meeting someone cool n the first day, without sharing any details you could quite conceivably go the rest of the cruise without seeing them, even if you made a reasonable effort to find them this too me seems really crazy. Also consider the number of teens cruising at peak times perhaps 1500 teens, there is bound to be increased conflict within the group, especially with decreasing of pricing and the increaseof working class cruisers.

Now this was random, however when considering a new venture like this you should always look beyond the fancy new gadgets and gizmo and into aspects that really could change the whole cruise experience as you know it.

You bring up an excellent point....how big is too big in this industry?
And is it affordable to go on such a cruise when the starting price for a room onboard for a family (which is what cruising tends to lean towards (double occupany = more people = more money) is $4000? I know for sure that my family would never pay such a price for an Inside cabin regardless of the ship.

As for being on the ship (for those lucky ones who can afford to), how is RCI going to go about entertaining such a large number of teens? Rockwalls and flo riders can only go so far.

My thoughts: too big.

$4000 for a family of four for an inside cabin is not that bad. Especially on a ship with so many options and new features. You know, there are not only rock walls and flow riders. At least you even have those options. I don't see any other cruise lines coming up with such innovative features. Movies near the pool isn't exactly exciting if you ask me.

Just as a comparison, we normally pay $1800 for a cruise on an inside for 7 days. As "innovative" as this ship is, if people wanted that many people in the same place, theyd have gone to vacation in miami or boca raton or lauderdale. I think its going to be way too crowded.

I had not realised the prices were so high. Another negative aspect is the openess of the ship, we'll surely only suit the caribbean, and also in timesof bad weather, eg the hurricane season, will many parts of the ships be redundant such as the aqua theatre.

Also the ship seems to be going to the same old caribbean ports which formany old ahnds cruising will not be particularly enticeing.

They do that to get first-time cruisers to get hooked on Royal Caribbean and they know that anyone booking it would be booking it because of the ship so they want the ship to sell the cruise, if you know what i mean, haha I suck at speaking.

yer I no the whole point is the ship is the destination, but for many people that makes up only part fot the reason why they go on cruises

i agree and dissagree. i agree with the fact that it would be hard to keep a stable group of friends because of the size. also, the caribbean ports its sailinging to are very blahhhh and boring to me.
but i disagree to fact about the flowriders and rockwalls. i love that aspect of RCI ships.

overall, i think its a bit too large...BUT....that won't stop me from wanting to go on it.

As much as you love them, how long would you be willing to wait in line to go on them? 5400 is a big number, and i guarantee there will be lines.

I agree its quite large, and that it would be hard to make good friends on the ship. You may actually have to get the person you meets room number so you can meet up with them the next day.

About the flowrider and rock climbing wall though, there are now two of each.. and I'm pretty sure there is less than double or double [i forget the numbers] the amount of people on the ship. Which means the lines will be just as long as they were before on ships such as Liberty of the Seas; etc.
