i've been on it's 2 sister ships navigator & mariner, and also the larger liberty. fuel is usually reserved for ages 15-17, however there is always one night where the 12-14 year old group goes in. on that night they move the older kids into the adult club or an outside deck party. it's pretty much a huge room w/ a dance floor & lights, there's seating around the edges, a bar to get sodas or "mocktails", and a seperate room off to the side with a few computers.
hope this helps!

During the day anyone can go into Optix and hangout. But at night the times are split up. At 11 or 12 the 15-17 year olds get to go into the club until it closes. And by the way the 1am curfew isn't enforced on the ship, at least it wasn't when I went on. Also another night the 15-17 year olds have a party around midnight at the pool deck with a dj..and everyone dances and goes into the hot tub. And another night the 15-17 year olds do go into the adult club for a "white only" party basically you wear white. Its a lot of fun. Explorer of the Seas was by far my best cruise! I'm hoping I get to go on this ship again in the summer =)
If you want to see pictures of the one on Explorer of the Seas I have pictures....

Yeah, the biggest issue with Explorer versus the 2nd generation Voyager class ships is that it features Optix versus Fuel AND The Living Room. The teen program is split and they usually allow younger teens 12-14 in during the earlier evening like 9:30-11:30 and then open it to teens 15-17 from 11:30-late.
