My family is planning on going on Oasis next summer.... I looked at the pictures online and it looks like its going to be amazing. Is anyone going on the maiden voyage??

i'm not going on the maiden voyage, but i think my moms considering it for next year. if not, she said she'll take me for when i graduate high school in 2011.

i'm not, but have fun! i'd love to go but i think i'd be too afraid, oasis is so big i'd be scared of it sinking.

I don't really like the big ships that much. I prefer medium or small ones

I love big ships. So much stuff to do and loads of people. So jealous. haha

i think the fact that they have real grass and trees growing on that ship is amazing!

ya i really cant wait. i saw the sketches the other day and the theater outside on the pool deck looks like its going to be amazing. i also can't wait to see the promanade.

yes the aquatheater is really cool b/c the shows at night have acrobatics, etc. and really awesome lighting

I grabbed a brochure about the Oasis yesterday on the explorer and I was looking at it, it looks kind of unreasonable to me. I think the "cruising experience" is getting ruined by these big ships. Oasis is so huge, how are they going to fill the rooms every single sailing? How will almost 9 thousand people be able to be on the same ship? Idk, its just too big for me but if you like that sort of thing, I am sure it will be an interesting experience.

Simple answer to your question: They are not.
Royal has been sacrificing bookings for higher prices. You'll find availabilities on a lot of Royal's sailings because their prices tend to run higher than the industry average.
