So i got back yesterday from my Freedom of the Seas cruise and I had an awesome time! I've never written a review before, but I'm gonna do this one, so here it goes:
Pre-Cruise: we flew into Orlando on Saturday morning, we got our rental car and drove to cocoa beach where we stayed at the four points by sheraton right across the street from the Ron Jon, the hotel was OK but we had a room that looked into the store and it was kind of awkward... but the room was fine for sleeping in which was all we did.
Day 1: we got up early in the morning returned the car and got to port canaveral at about 10:45? We went and stood in line at the terminal doors, they let us into the building right after the wedding party at like 11:00 We got all checked in and went to wait for priority embarkation since we are diamond. We got on the ship at 11:20ish and went up to the windjammer for lunch. It was pretty good. After that we hit up the pool and went to the flowrider right when it opened, my brother and i got our wristbands and were set to go. The flow rider was Awesome!!!! after that we went and checked out our rooms on deck 8, connecting cabins. We had some of our luggage by then and so we started to unpack and get ready for the muster drill. The muster drill went by and we got to see the people on the carnival ship leaving as they were doing their drill. Went to dinner and we had a nice table by the window with Karen and Cameron for our waiter and assistant. I went to the teen mix and mingle and from the beginning met these really cool people and we were deemed the welcome committee and whenever someone walked in we would go down the whole line and say our names haha. Then we played bigger or better and our group got $5, a t-shirt, and a glasses case for a royal caribbean key chain type thing. Then we had teen Quest and it was really funny.
Day 2: at sea. I don't really remember what i did this day haha, this was formal night. My family and i took some pictures before we went to dinner, then at night was teen skating and dusk. Dusk was really fun!
Day 3: Labadee, i did the dragon's breath zip line here. It was so much fun! Tonight was the pool party and the teens got to use the flowrider.
Day 4: Ocho Rios, Jamaica, There were a lot of people here asking if you wanted a cab, it was kind of really annoying. we just went shopping and hit up margaritaville. Tonight was teen kareoke it was pretty funny seeing the people that went up and sang. Then it was pajama movie night, but we didn't go, we hung out on the back deck instead. it was a lot of fun.
Day 5: Georgetown, Grand Cayman, We went to 7 mile beach today, it was really cool. There were a few small rainshowers in the morning but that was it. We chilled at the beach and then in after lunch we went back to the ship and hung out by the pool. I don't remember what party was that night but I'm sure it was fun. haha
Day 6: Cozumel, Mexico, we stayed on the ship this morning and it felt like we had the ship to ourselves we went swimming. Don't jump into the pool cause security will yell at you haha. This night was the party in the Crypt, the ship was really rocky so we didn't dance much but we had an awesome time.
Day 7: this day was really sad, first we had the diamond breakfast in the morning and my brother and i were like the only kids there and the breakfast we had was pretty nasty haha, then we went to the teen speed climb. After that i did the flowrider and hung out with my friends for awhile, then i had to pack =[ and we had our last dinner with Karen and Cameron and then i headed to the living room for the last time. My friend and i were really excited to play the dating game, but no one else wanted to play so we didn't get to. The farewell dance was really sad as always.
Overall this was definitely my favorite cruise, the people i met were awesome and we are already planning a reunion haha.
if you have any questions i will totally answer them!
