Just curious, does any one else find that the new Norwegian ship looks incredibly ugly?
I always imagined cruise ships to be streamlined, sleek, and/or easy on the eyes, but this ship looks like someone took a block [building block] of 4 decks of ship and dropped it on the forward area on top of the bridge. Not too aesthetically pleasing.
Comparing it to other new builds:
Carnival Dream looks better by far. Sleek, yet still big, and a kind of cross between the Spirit and Conquest Classes. A little front heavy, but nothing like dropping a stack of decks.
Oasis of the Seas is an architectural marvel in itself - very well designed. Wouldn't expect anything less from Royal
Costa's Costa Deliziosa is coming along nicely too, looks like a modified Spirit Class vessel, but she's a sister to the already launched Costa Luminosa
Celebrity is launching the Eclipse, sister to Solstice and Equinox
HAL is launching the Neuw Amsterdam, identical to the Eurodam (with internal design changes of course)
Queen Elizabeth (Cunard) is still just building blocks, but I would imagine Cunard won't fall short on design.

It looks too top heavy. But then again, when I see what QM2 looks like out of water, that also looks top heavy.

From the pictures I've seen of Epic it looks very square, not the classic sleek ship design. It almost looks as if a little kid built it out of legos & then NCL made it life size.
