Carnival Freedom for Thanksgiving!

Haha, I got my suit case all ready for me to start packin too!
When I went on my eastern Caribbean cruise, the nights were pretty chilly. But I guess mmerali is right cause it is southern Caribbean. But I would bring a few warmer clothes anyway, just in case.
I made a checklist of stuff to bring, and I already started checking stuff off that is ready to pack. Haha, my parents think I'm crazy for startin soo early.

you know whats weird for me tho?
i feel like this is my first cruise
last time, it was in Europe so i barely even paid attention to the fact that i was going on a cruise (since it was my first one, i had no idea how much fun they could be) and i was so much more focused on just being in europe!
so i honestly dont think i was ever "excited" for the cruise until i was actually on the ship.
but this time, its ALLL about the actual ship for me (the countries are deff an added bonus tho) and i am so damn excited
i just hope its not a let-down
usually when i build things up like this, its just blahhh
cause its never as perfect as im expecting it to be, ya know?

The ship itself is nothing to get excited about either. Keep in mind that you can only watch so much TV before you get bored of straining your neck to view the big screen. Don't over-expect for a cruise; the most of it isn't really the ship, but the places you go and the people you meet. After a few cruises, you'll learn this.

Also keep in mind that yes, the Eastern Caribbean in the winter is cooler than Southern. By far. Current temperatures in Panama and Costa Rica are in the low 80s (as in right now temperature), and its night time. Imagine with the sun out with humidity factored in. Don't bother wasting space with warmer clothes. You will only regret having them and not using them. Jeans are fine, and the long sleeve hoodie are basically all you'll need in terms of warmer things.

Don't overpack, its not necessary.

I definetely understand where you're comin from on that! I am crazy pumped for this cruise cause I know what it's gonna be like and how fun it will be!
Don't worry about over hyping it. No matter what, it's gonna be awesome.
It's nice this time around cause I know what and what not to do this time. And pretty much what to expect.

i definitely mean like the people, the food, the activities, and the things the cruise has to offer

Believe me, it takes more than a single cruise to learn all that. You think you know it all, but it takes a lot of cruising to learn a good amount of it. Every cruise is different, and you never know when a curveball is coming.

Yea Dariana, the cruise will be a lot of fun. Just don't worry about it, I'm sure it's gonna be a whole lot of fun. Try and get the time to pass by faster (for me too) haha.
Do all you can to get prepared. If you want to start gettin ya bag ready, that's ok too. Haha, then I won't feel alone and weird. The ship is real nice. It is a cruise ship, it's automatically nice. Only a week and a half now.
You looked into any excursions yet?

hmmm I have but a while ago. thats actually a good idea. i might look at some right now. i know for cozumel my parents wanna go to the pyramids

Pyramids sounds pretty cool, I want to check out those and ruins stuff. And the jungle in costa rica. Dariana, check your PM

its a kayaking excursion through the jungles. judging by the lil picture in the corner from the page it looks really pretty and fun

hey guys! i hope both of you have a blast! i done this cruise back in 2006 on the legend and it was a blast! in panama just kinda do your own thing if you can thats what we did and we ended up at the locks and done a little shopping costa rica if you can definitely do the white water rafting excursion that was a BLAST! cozumel its definitely up to you depending on what your up for, we usually do lunch and just shop all day and maybe hit the public beach

have some semi warm clothes for at night on the ship because when your heading down there and coming back it gets a little cool walking around. but like mike said when your doing southern the ports are extremely humid and its always warm. i hope you both have a fun cruise and i cant wait to see your pics and hear the stories! happy thanksgiving!
