Default Oasis of The Seas 19th Dec

Just a quick question, is anyone else going on this cruise then?

Oh, I've cruised with RCI and Princess and now have turned 18 so I obviously don't make the cut for the teen clubs; what are the facilities like on RCI ships for 18-21 year olds? (or specifically the Oasis). I mean more so in terms of meeting people, I'm that used to going on a cruise and meeting LOADS of people, so if I go on the Oasis and don't meet a large group of people of my age I'll be disappointed. Is there a club for 18-21 year olds? Oh, and as far as I'm aware we are allowed into the nightclubs now, yes? I'm 18, can drink legally and I'm flying across half the world to go on this ship so there better be fun people!!

Sorry to say, but if you're sailing out of the United States, you'll have to be 21 to drink even on the ship. I know I'm right about Carnival, I don't see why Royal might be different but if they are, someone please correct me. You should be fine on the islands in the Caribbean though.

Oh no, I know I can't (I've sailed around the Caribbean on the Freedom before). I just wanted to know if there are any organised events in which 18-21 year olds can meet each other? As far as I'm aware 18 year olds can go to the clubs on the ship, but cannot drink; yes/no?

Nothing organized specifically for 18-21. You're into the "adult" category at that point, although your seapass will reflect that you're under 21 (on Oasis this means that you'll have the teen silhouette and the adult color - you'll see what I mean once you actually see it).

As for drinking all ships and lines 21+ from American ports unless otherwise dictated on specific sailings, and even if you are 18 and the ship allows drinking under 21, you'll need a parental waiver allowing you to do so.

I know Princess used to have an 18-21 meet and greet, and an organized basketball tournament and texas holdem tournament. That was a few years ago, I don't know if they still do.

No mention on it on the princess website Tim tried searching a bunch of things. Unfortunate. Would be praising princess right now if they had kept the program

NOTHING at all? Like not even a meet and greet on the first night of the cruise? May I asking how the bloody heck am I supposed to meet people? Great. I just hope you yanks hear my accent and decide that's a good way to break the ice, other than that, I'll have to start walking up to randoms and saying 'oh hi there' ha.

You nailed it right on the head. "Oh hi there" works wonders

Try the pool, basketball court, casino, clubs, anywhere.
