So for the first time next year my family and i will be leaving from baltimore for our cruise, normally we leave from new york, and we have also left from florida in the past. but never baltimore, has anyone ever left from bmore? if so what type of people do you meet,(im guessing most of the people are from the maryland?) and whats it like? how is it different from other ports. oh and were leaving over christmas break.. so will it be hard to find friends?
Contrary to what you might believe, Baltimore actually does get people from the northeast (not primarily Maryland either). Its proximity to Boston and New York makes it a good port to depart from if you forgo NYC as a port of departure. As for the port itself, I've never sailed out, I just know the demographics.
Christmas break is a little harder to find people traveling alone because of the number of families traveling together and because they'll want to spend time together, but it is not impossible either.
