Got that one right. Waiting was terrible. I did all my apps early action just so I didn't have to wait out till March (that would have been really bad).

I did early decision and found out December 15th, 2007. I don't think I will ever forget that day! I wasn't even the one who opened the big envelope! haha

I didn't do early decision at the college I'm at right now, but I did get my acceptance letter from them literally 2 weeks after I put my application in the mail. Then again my college is far from a "normal" college (what other college has a major highway/bridge passing over the campus? Or 9 males for every 1 female?)

Speaking of college, today in class we were talking about different propulsion types for different ships, and when he mentioned passenger ships he showed my favorite cruise ship, Carnival Miracle, and now I wanna go back for my 3rd cruise on that ship.

Go April 4th !
On a college note, I found three more school's I'm applying to. This whole process has been crazy, but my mom & I finally figured it all out. I'm excited! I'm not doing early action for them since it's too late now, but I did it for the two schools here in RI.

One of my professors just sent me a list of books to get for next semester. My finals week hasn't even started yet!

Well the fact that your finals week hasn't started is strange.. most people either finished last week or finish this week.
As for books, I'd personally like the list.. lets me know how much to budget.
We started a week later then normal so that's why we haven't started finals yet. We also had a mid fall break. We have reading days before finals so everyone can study which pushes things back also. I have a final on the 16th and a final project due that day then I have a final on the 21st.
As for my books, for this one class I need a grand total of.... 9 books! Haven't started to look for them yet!

I don't really mind it. I've had a 3 day school week all semester. I would hate it if I actully lived at school because I would want to go home but that's not the case.

This week is finals week for me (the 13th through the 17th). And I know I would like it if they told us what books we'll need for the following semester. It is good though when they tell you to buy books that cost a few hundred dollars, but tell you that you'll use them in future semesters, and after you graduate they'll be invaluable resources in your career.
Wow, what kind of class do you need 9 books for?

On the school bookstore website, there is a menu where you enter your classes and it tells you the books you need.
I'm taking my advanced core block in the Spring which is junior student teaching. It is more intense than student teaching and you have to have at least a 3.0 to get into it.
The books are for my Literature Learning Across Curriculum class. Half the books are children's books that we will be using.

Oh you mean they posted to the BOOKSTORE. Now it makes sense. Ours usually post around the same time our blackboard opens up to the new courses - 2 weeks before the start of the course... sometimes sooner.

We just find out what books we need the first week of classes, and it's up to us to either wait a week or so and save $50 per book to order it on Amazon.com or spend an extra $50 and buy it on campus. (Or look for a free PDF file).

Oh and to make things even more fun, I have winter break reading! I have to read a book (464 pages) and answer several questions about it. Now, I can honestly say that I NEVER have a break
