If someone's going too, tell me!

i just got a question about the events for teens, theme parties and that kind of stuff...

Here in Brazil we don't have any cruise like Oasis, so...

Okay, what specifically did you want to know?

A more general review of the teen facilities
Oasis of the Seas is Royal's second-latest ship and the first in her class. The teen facility onboard is still fuel, although I haven't heard much about the events. I am told however, that the sound and effects are superior when compared to the rest of the fleet.

The usual club session occurs from 10 - 1am for the 15-17 crowd. Other events around the ship with the teen club can be found in the daily compass.

As far as themed parties goes, that is at the discretion of the teen host onboard. If you choose to create your own themed party with your new friends that's always a lot of fun as well.

As with the rest of Royal Caribbean's fleet, a 1am curfew applies to all under the age of 18.

curfew? oh! it really sucks =/

how works that??

they enforce that even if we don't mess up the ship?

'cos in the last cruise I did, my friends and I spend hours and hours with small talk, chatting with the people of the crew, playing cards, listening some music...

I used to go to bed at 5 a.m

hahahahaha it was so fine!

well, just one more question...we need to use a tuxedo or a suit and tie at the gala night?

thanks for answering the other questions =)

On one of my Royal Caribbean cruises they strongly enforced the curfew, and on others it wasn't a huge deal. Everyone has had different experiences with it. Just be prepared for it to be enforced. If anything, go back to someone's room and hang out there until you're ready to go to bed.

Formal night is totally up to you. You will see everything from full blown tuxedos to men in khaki pants & a button down shirt. As long as you're dressed appropriately they won't deny you access to the dining room !

The one RCI cruise I took as a teen with the curfew in effect (it wasn't pre-2005 I believe), it was enforced. And it was enforced strictly. Enough that I didn't cruise RCI until I was 18. Basically what happens is that security asks you to go to your room or escorts you there if you refuse. So yeah, be prepared for room parties. As far as I know - from people who have sailed, Oasis and Allure are strict with the curfew.

As Rebecca said, formal night is your call, but I recommend a suit or tux. Always a good opportunity to look sharp.

I've been on Royal Caribbean once, Voyager of the Seas on it's first season sailing out of New Jersey.

They strongly enforced the 1am curfew, which sucked. You could tell they had some problem with teens on the cruise, as even during the day they kept kicking us out of public areas that were otherwise open but empty, even one time we were just sitting around sharing stories of where we were during the 9/11 terrorist attacks, and that huge Northeast blackout, and security told us we were "being too disruptive". That was around 1pm (IN THE AFTERNOON).

All times are GMT -4. The time now is 08:05 PM.
