I am 21 years old. I know that this is a teen board, but I figured I could maybe ask the 18 year olds reading this if they could tell me about the adult clubs and bars on the ships. Im going on the Carnival Triumph on spring break 2012 and this is going to be my first cruise. Im going with one of my fraternit brothers and we plan on drinking/partying a lot. So my question is: Where is the best places to party/drink/have a good time?
Good choice of line. Carnival has always had a reputation as a party line, and to be honest, as much as they've tried to shake it, I don't think they have. Be warned however, that you must have someone over the age of 25 in each room that has anyone under the age of 21 in it. So if you're taking some of your younger brothers, be careful or you could end up with a mess at the port.
As far as places to party, there really is only one nightclub onboard, so nightlife usually centers there. Except for the night of the deck party, where everyone starts on deck and then gravitates towards the club. The casino is usually another popular place to start. As far as the other bars, I can't say they get too popular, but a bar is a bar. If you want to drink, hit the bar
As far as daytime, you probably want to stay near the pool deck. If the crowd is particularly good, you could probably get some games going (flip cup, pong, etc...) if you're all willing to throw down.
Next thing, pricing on ships isn't exactly cheap. Your best bet are the bucket deals.
Last, drink responsibly. You're on a moving ship. The rocking and rolling are going to affect you, and stay away from the railings. Last thing you need is dealing with someone going over. Otherwise, have fun!

Thanks man, that was real informative. Me and My fraternity brother are both turing 21 a couple of weeks before the cruise. Would we have any problem getting the tickets since we are still 20 before we book them? eare planning on booking at the end of July. I heard that it should be no problem, but I figured I would ask someone who has been on many cruises.
hey! im ainsley and i have been on 9 cruises. just as long as you are 21 years old at the time of sailing they dont care how old you are at the time you book it. like mike said if anyone is under the age of 21 make sure you have a 25 year old in that cabin with them or otherwise they will be unable to go. also mike is totally right about the entire club/pool/bar/drinking thing..but each cruise is what you make of it. if you want a bunch of people to hang out with that is your age it should be pretty easy especially at night in the club. dont act like you're too good to get out there and dance and act like a total idiot because thats the entire fun of it. this past spring break my friends and i did a spring break cruise on norwegian and there were a ton of frat/sorority passengers. anyways i hope that helps!

No problem.
Ainsley ^ nailed it. You're fine as long as you're all 21 or older before sailing. You can book whenever you feel like, but your age on the date that you embark must be 21+.

I took my first cruise last year when i was 20. What you'll notice is that there are bars open all over the ship. Practically one in each lounge. The dance club usually opens around 11 and runs till 4. After several people myself included find their way to the 24/h pizza bar.
