My husband earned a cruise from a company he does business with. We are going on Carnival's Victory. The company says tips are included (that they take care of tipping, except if we get a drink at the bar or something.), but how can I be sure. I don't want people left without tips. Thanks, Donalee
I do a lot of insentive travel arrangements for my company. Contact the travel agent in charge of the package. If you don't know the name yet, as soon as you get your document package it should be included. Tips on a cruise that should be included would be for your cabin steward and waiter and assistant waiter. Due to the individual nature of travel needs, you may wish to plan to tip luggage porters on land, taxi drivers, spa treatment providers, the wine steward if you choose wines and the maitre' de if he does anything "special" for you. Also, if you take tours, the guide and bus driver appreciate a token tip. If you bring children, the Children's staff are also good people to be remembered. Bar Drink gratuities even soda and wine are included on each tab, which you will sign for and the amount will be posted to your master "ship board account". You can leave those charges on your credit card and just pay off your bank or you can pay the charges on the last night at the pursor's desk. Congratulations on earning a great prize!
