Tip for Alternate Dining

I am just wondering - We plan on taking the tips off of our sign and sail card because we like giving the tips in person. Are the tips for the people below necessary, and if yes, then who exactly gets the tip in the alternate dining room (Lido deck).

$0.45 pp/pd for Dining Room Management (Asst. Maitre d' / Hostess)
$0.30 pp/pd for Alternate Dining Service (Waiter & Cooks in bistro)

Re: Tip for Alternate Dining

i think that if you choose to eat in the alternative restaurant/bistro you should tip your waiter that evening, like going to a restaurant at home. I have never heard of tipping the chef. As for the dining room manager, - i feel that unless he does something exceptional for you personally then his postion doesn't warrant a tip. I know a lot of folks fee differently on this, buts that's my opinion.
