Dated Passports.

Does any one know (for sure) if outdated passports are acceptable for I.D? I thought I read something somewhere to that effect. Any help??
Thanks..

Yes, they are good for 10 years after expiration for ID purposes but not for entry into foreign countries. Most countries today require a passport with 6 months or more until the expiration date for entry.. Of course in the Caribbean you only need ID and proof of US citizenship, which the expired passport will give you.

RCCL clearly states in their FAQs that an expired Passport (no limit specified on how expired) is acceptable.
