Help Tipping in Canada
Hi everyone, I will be spending a few days before and after my cruise in Vancouver and Victoria. I pretty well know the tipping customs in the US and onboard, but not sure about Canada. I want to do the right thing so could you please give me information about tipping for taxis, dining, help with bags etc. All those travel type situations. We really aren't used to tipping down here in Australia (different pay system) so any advice will be much appreciated, Thanks, Dale.

Re: Help Tipping in Canada
Dale... tipping in Canada is pretty much as in the U.S.
Service folks expect a tip, and in most cases it is sort of calculated as part of their income (they aren't well paid).
The exception is the baggage handlers at the piers. They are fairly well paid union employees, and though they'll accept a tip, it's not expected.
