Default settle some confusion on tipping

There will be 2 of us cruising on the Destiny. We are so confused about tipping. We've read all the threads about percentages and $'s per day per person, but we are still confused. Is there anyone out there who can explain it to me like I am a 4 year old, as to how much and who I need to tip?

Thanks.

Hi Tree,
If you follow the suggested amounts in the brochure, you'll be tipping:

waiter
asst. waiter
cabin attendant
Matre'D if you feel he did someing for you, if so $10 is plenty unless he went above and beyond to do something really special.

Just remember the amounts are per day, example the waiter is usually $3.50, so for the 2 of you its $7.00 a day times how many days the cruise is and just do the same with the others you tip.

Have fun!

The drinks you get at the bars will have an automatic tip applied of 15% so no more tip is necessary. That being said, if you want the bartender to leave that cute little honey he's talking to at the end of the bar to bring you another drink you may want to slip a $1 or $2 in his tip jar. Otherwise, he knows he's getting your 15% anyway and you can wait until he finds out if she's travelling solo or with someone.

Regards,
Thomas
