Default Tipping the Concierge

My husband and I are going on our first cruise (11 days; 2 hours and desperately counting!). We splurged for our 25th wedding anniversary and booked an "S" category suite, which gives us access to a priivate lounge and concierge service. (HAL -- Maasdam)

Even though HAL is a "no tipping required" line, I've read the other threads and understand that I definitely should tip and have written down the amounts recommended for the waiter, assistant waiter, room attendant, and maitre'd. These amounts are now set aside, along with some general, misc. tip money. Boy, is that helpful!

But now I need to figure out the concierge. Assuming this person assists us throughout the cruise (10 days), what is an appropriate amount?

Also, what about excursions? How do we figure out appropriate tips for . . . say . . . a 2 hour snorkeling trip?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I have never heard of tipping the concierge, but perhaps this is something new.
