Default Princess Tips - Quick Question

Few quick questions.
I assume that Princess does automatic tip, at $20 for double occupancy, correct?
What does that tip cover? Who else do I need to tip, on top of those $20 per day?

And the porters who handle your luggage.

And the salon personnel if you use their facilities.

Here is my question. Have sailed 5 times with Princess with the auto tipping but still felt funny about not giving steward, waiter, assistant waiter, etc. an envelope. We actually end up giving more of a tip than the acceptable 3.50, 3.50, 2.00,etc. per person because of this. I am thinking that, for us, it would be better to cancel the auto tipping and take care of the tips personally. We are not the kind of people who would stiff anyone, but we are not wealthy either.

And that's why you have a choice, Kubies. If you feel uncomfortable having the tip automatically added to you bill, then by all means remove it and give out envelopes.

I did both - had the $10 per day added automatically and then tipped over and above for excellent service.
