RCCL tipping

I'll be on a 2 week Panama cruise next January. I am a single diner and have no intention of going to the dining room for dinner. I will probably go for breakfast or lunch and then go to the buffet or pizza place for any dinner.

I don't understand how the automatic tips work for the dining employees that are not in the main dining room. Do they get a cut or do I have to search them out to tip? I would much rather just have it automatically done. Are the ones that are on at lunchtime still on at dinner?

Re: RCCL tipping

My understanding is that the tips are pooled and allocated by the cruise line based on crew performance and service contribution. The suggested amounts are determined based on how much the service component of your cruise fare would be, if there wasn't tipping.
