So, is this true or not. I am cruising Carnival Inspiration. IF I leave the tip amount on my S & S account, whatever I hand them in cash is theirs to keep and don't have to pool? I just want to make sure I fully understand. I was going to have the tip removed from my account, because if I get good service, I will tip well beyond what is expected. But, I read somewhere that if you do clear the tip from your S & S account , they have to pool their cash tips, BUT, ifI leave the recommended tips on my S & S , whatever I hand them extra is cash is theirs to keep all to theirself....Is this true?

I'm not sure how Carnival works but I asked on Princess and was told by the staff that they even had to put their "cash" tips in the pool. Now this was a couple of years ago. That may have changed since then.
