Default tipping grill (pizza/omlet) staff

My son just loved the pizza guy on the Destiny as he always greeted him, did not treat him just as a kid and always knew his order, same thing in the morning on the breakfast buffet (omlet station) outside for us. We tipped these gentlemen occasionally and at the end of the cruise-- I always feel it is nice to reward for service. Do these staff receive tips from elsewhere, or are their wages a bit higher? I never see many posts on these positions..

From what I gathered, it seems all service people aboard pool tips and get a cut. But a few bucks here and there to these guys would most likely be appreciated. Especially for outstanding service.

I believe they do share in the tips given to your dining room staff. And keep in mind, a lot of these folks do work in the dining room for dinner also. Most of the staff does double and triple duty.

According to letter from HAL , tips are pooled and shared with, essentially, all service employees.. They used as an example: the housekeeper maintaining the lounges and the baker preparing pastry.
